🌱 Watching Beans Become Sprouts
Our children cared for mung beans every day—changing the water, observing the tiny changes, and discovering how beans grow into sprouts.
They noticed how the beans got longer, shed their skins like little transformations, and slowly changed shape.
Through this activity, the children gained a deeper understanding of how plants grow—step by step, day by day.
Everyday science, through hands-on discovery.

This summer, we’ve prepared the microscopes for our little ones to explore the micro world around us. We harvested the tomatoes and cucumbers and observed them carefully with the microscope. We also went to the park to hunt for insects to observe their bodies with the microscope. These activities are designated for CASA students

Come into our classroom and you will find the children engaged in a prolonged, uninterrupted “Work Cycle”.
“The Three Hour Work Cycle” is one of the key components of a Montessori classroom. After the children arrive in the classroom, they will settle in and start their Montessori work. As they work through their “Work Cycle” the children will encounter a period of “False Fatigue” when most of the children are unfocused and restless, but after a short break they will soon settle into their most difficult work choice of the cycle and stay with it the longest period of time while their concentration is the deepest. Dr. Montessori called this the “Great work period”. As the “Work Cycle” nears its completion we arrange for some fun Montessori group lessons to provide relaxation and prepare for the next activity.
THE NEST provides three hours of uninterrupted work time for children at our Casa Class (Primary Program).

Planning our Happy Holiday Activities for our little students always makes us very excited. We always prepare a lot of Eye-Hand coordination and Practical Life works in our Montessori Environment following the natural needs of our students. These special seasonal Montessori works still strongly stimulate the curiosity of the little ones.
