We had the pleasure of welcoming two wonderful friends from California during their fast-paced 1-week trip in Japan!
One of them speaks amazing Japanese, and together they brought such a bright, friendly energy to our workshop. This time, they’re focusing their trip around Tokyo and making the most of every moment. ✨
They were both so curious about Japanese food and bento culture, and it was lovely to see how much they enjoyed each small detail of the bento-making process. Their cute bentos turned out beautifully! 🐼🍱
We also loved hearing about their Japan adventures — from enjoying karaoke the night before to being happily surprised by how affordable shopping can feel here. Sounds like a very successful Tokyo trip already! 🎤🛍️

We had the pleasure of welcoming a lovely couple .melvillsmith traveling around Japan for two weeks, with their favorite camera always in hand. 📸
They told us they love taking photos and have been capturing beautiful moments from place to place throughout their journey.
During the workshop, they brought such bright and friendly energy to the room.

They quickly connected with another couple from Korea who joined the same session, and by the end, everyone was happily showing off their finished bentos to each other. 🥰🍱

A creative bento memory from Korea! 🇰🇷🍱✨

We welcomed a lovely couple from Korea to our bento workshop.

They were so excited that they accidentally arrived 30 minutes earlier than the meeting time — such wonderful energy from the very beginning! ☺️

Both of them were very skilled with their hands, and their Bear and Frog Bentos turned out absolutely adorable. 🐻🐸

One of the sweetest moments was seeing them become friends with another couple who joined the same session. By the end, everyone was chatting and laughing together.

There was also a cute little creative accident while making the tiny snail side dish — the ingredients for the snail’s shell and body were accidentally switched! 🐌

But that made it even more original, and everyone agreed it was a wonderful one-of-a-kind detail.

Final smiles of a 2.5-week journey! 🇺🇸🇯🇵🍱

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming three incredibly energetic friends from Chicago ! They visited us during the very final stretch of their 2.5-week trip across Japan. ✈️✨

They experienced so much during their stay, but the absolute highlight of their journey was their time in Arashiyama, Kyoto. 🎋🏯

To wrap up their amazing adventure, they joined our “Unique Kawaii Experience” to try their hand at character bento making!
These three were amazingly efficient! In what felt like the blink of an eye, they crafted three perfectly adorable Frog Bentos. 🐸🍱

The studio was filled with laughter and compliments as they admired each other’s creations — a perfect reflection of their close friendship.
Today is their departure day, and they are heading back home to Chicago. 🛫
We feel truly honored that they chose to spend one of their final precious moments in Japan with us.

A professional chef’s take on the "Kawaii Experience"! 🇵🇹🇯🇵🍱

We had a very special guest from Portugal who is currently halfway through his incredible 1-year stay in Japan ! ✈️✨️ He originally came for the snowboarding in Hokkaido last November, but now he’s diving deep into the heart of Japanese food culture.

As a professional chef, he was eager to learn new techniques, but even he was surprised by the level of detail required for a character bento! 🎨 He admitted it was more challenging than he expected, but his culinary skills truly shined through. The result? A perfectly adorable Panda Bento that showed off his craftsmanship. 🐼🍱

This is exactly what our "Unique Kawaii Experience" is about—discovering the artistry and effort behind Japan’s famous lunchboxes, regardless of your cooking background.

The weather is beautiful right now, making it the perfect time to go see Mt. Fuji. 🏔️✨️ We highly recommended he catch a view of the iconic peak before his journey continues.

A special cultural journey from California! 🇺🇸🇯🇵🎨

While her husband is busy with work, our wonderful guest from the USA is making the most of her 2-week stay by diving deep into Japanese culture. We were so honored she chose our "Unique Kawaii Experience" as part of her journey! 🍱✨️

She was thrilled to learn the simple tips and tricks that turn a regular lunch into a work of art. Although she joked that the result might be "too cute" for her grown-up children back home 🤭, her proud smile said it all—she truly mastered the craft! It was a joy to see her so happy with her adorable Frog Bento. 🐸🍱

Her adventure continues next week in Kamakura. 🌊⛩️ Since she’s looking for a Matcha set for her daughter who loves green tea, we recommended a trip to Kappabashi Street. 🍵🛍️ It’s the perfect place to find authentic tools, though we warned her it’s easy to get carried away with all the amazing kitchenware there! (lol)

A true culinary nomad in our Tokyo kitchen! 🇬🇧🌏️🍱

We had the pleasure of welcoming a talented traveler ._templeman from England, currently based in Bali and 6 months into an incredible world tour. Her 3-week Japan adventure has only just begun, and she’s already making the most of it! ✈️✨️

As someone who loves cooking at home, her efficiency in the workshop was exceptional. She moved through the steps with such grace and precision. The highlight? She used her creativity to turn a simple Tamagoyaki (rolled omelet) into a brand-new "friend" for her bento! 🍳🐥 It was a wonderful example of how a bento can be a canvas for personal expression.

Her journey continues to Kyoto and Osaka, where she’s planning to take on the Kimono challenge. 着物 While it might be a bit more "intensive" to wear than it looks, we know she’ll look absolutely stunning! From here, her flavor-seeking mission will lead her to Korea and Thailand—we hope she finds inspiration in every local dish she tries. 🇰🇷🇹🇭

A wonderful family picnic day in Tokyo! 🇰🇷🍱🧺

We had the pleasure of welcoming a vibrant family from South Korea for our "Unique Kawaii Experience"! 🌟

At the beginning, the young son was a little nervous, but as the session went on, his shyness completely melted away. Seeing his face light up with every small decoration he added was truly the highlight of the day! ☺ It’s moments like these—where creativity brings out the best smiles—that make our workshops so special.

Together, they crafted adorable Panda and Dog (Shiba Inu) Bentos, packing them with a "mountain" of side dishes! 🐼🐶🍱 After the workshop, they shared their exciting plan: heading straight to the park for a sunny family picnic. There’s nothing quite like the taste of a bento you’ve made with your own hands, especially when enjoyed under the open sky. 🌸✨️

A heartwarming "Homecoming" from Michigan!🇺🇸🇯🇵🍱

We had the pleasure of welcoming a wonderful family from Michigan who moved back to Japan this past February. It was a day filled with incredible teamwork and focus as the whole family took on our "Unique Kawaii Experience" together! 🤝✨️

The highlight of the session was seeing the children take the lead. With a little "backup" from Mom and Dad, they carefully crafted every detail to create their very own Panda Bentos. 🐼 Seeing a whole family of pandas lined up at the end was absolutely adorable! The pride on the kids' faces when they finished was truly special—it's these moments of shared creativity that make a move to a new country so memorable.

We also loved hearing about their connection to Japan! The parents lived in Sendai over 10 years ago and shared that they still haven't forgotten the incredible taste of Gyutan (beef tongue). 🥩 It’s amazing how a single flavor can stay with you for over a decade.
