Are you familiar with the profession of "social worker (SW)"? As the importance of social welfare increases worldwide, this profession plays an extremely important role, yet there is a severe shortage of people who understand and practice this role.
Social workers require not only advanced knowledge and experience, but also high ethical standards and humanity. This time, we will learn and deepen our understanding of the specific work and role of social workers, as well as the lesser-known world of social workers.
Please feel free to join us.

[Announcement] On January 6th, just after the New Year, we held the 78th "SDGs Super Basics for Adults" course. Once again, we'd like to thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to participate!

The theme of this session was "With less than five years left until the SDGs are achieved, what will the world do!?"

..

"They're still working on the SDGs? (lol) Aren't they obsolete now!?"

"Wow, conspiracy theorists! Stay away!"

"They act like they're so conscious, it's annoying!"

"These people are scams, so just ignore them!"

"Only Japan is still going strong with the badge. No other country is even working on the SDGs anymore."

"Come to think of it, I don't see them on the news anymore. After all, the media is only concerned with ratings."

"What was the point of the SDGs, anyway? Eh? Aren't they over yet?"

"I'm so tired... No matter how hard we try, the world isn't getting better. It's impossible in just five more years."

..

I've been hearing a lot of voices like that around me lately.

But as I looked into it, I discovered the existence of people crawling on the ground, silently trying to support the sinking Earth.

Even though we seem to be putting our efforts into practice, it somehow feels like it's someone else's problem...

I'm not really working to make the Earth or the world a better place.

I'm regretting it...

But still, I can't just sit back and do nothing.

It's just my personality, I can't help it.

So, no matter what anyone says, I won't give up and will keep running until 2030.

Thank you very much.

..

Once again, I think we were able to have very meaningful conversations with all the participants.
As always, the preparations are so hard while we're working on our farms, so I'm filled with gratitude and appreciation.
Thank you so much.

The first theme of next year is "AI Explosion," held online on Tuesday, February 3rd from 8:00 PM.
Please join us. We look forward to seeing you there.

This course will continue until 2030, the year the SDGs are due to end.

I'm truly grateful for your sincere participation this month.

Thank you as always.

Hiroto Fujii (Toshiyuki)

[Report] On December 2nd, we held the 77th "SDGs Super Basics for Adults" course. Once again, thank you to everyone who participated, even though they were tired late into the night! This time, we had students join us for the first time in a while. It was incredibly exciting! ☺

The theme was "2025 Summary: 2026: Towards a New World."

As always, the first "quick question" was, "What changes will you personally make in 2025?" Many of the participants commented that this year they made changes themselves and grew as a result. That's amazing!

How about you?

2025 was a year of awakening for the world.

I myself moved from Tokyo to Tokai Village, Ibaraki Prefecture, and am starting a farming business from scratch.

This step was truly significant.

I am now confident that I can continue like this until the end of my life.

All that's left now is to shake it off and live life to the fullest.

Did you all spend 2025 fulfilling your life goals?

I'm sure it went well!

Please share how it went in this course next year.

I look forward to hearing about it.

Thank you as always.

I'm grateful.

..

Once again, I believe we were able to have very meaningful conversations with all the participants.
As always, the preparations are so hard on top of our farming work, so I am filled with gratitude and thanks.
Thank you so much.

The first theme of next year will be "With less than five years left until the SDGs. What will happen to the world!?" and will be held online on Tuesday, January 6th from 8:00 PM.
Please join us. We look forward to seeing you there.

This course will continue until 2030, the final year of the SDGs.

Thank you very much for your sincere participation this month.

Thank you as always.

[Report] On November 4th, we held the 76th "SDGs Basic Course for Adults." Once again, thank you to everyone who participated, even though they were tired late into the night!

The theme of this session was "Diversity: Let's Discuss Diversity."

We started off by discussing the controversial Swedish news story of "White Supremacists Uniting at a Fitness Club: Fostering Brotherhood Through Violence," a case that seemed to hint at the future of diversity.

We then discussed the academic definition of diversity, its types, why it's considered important, why companies are so keen on diversity, diversity and "inclusion," EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion), recent signs of EDI in the United States, affirmative action, and the echo chamber phenomenon.

We also looked at biodiversity in nature and its integration with diversity in the human world.

While the concept of diversity may seem plausible and even gimmicky, it has become clear that there are difficulties and problems with correctly understanding, implementing, and promoting it.

As such, we are not only considering basic awareness of social issues related to the SDGs, but also thinking about what we should do and how we should do it at the individual level.

We have no intention of continuing to do anything pointless until 2030.

This is a very valuable time for us as individuals to appreciate the meaning of having been born and raised in this era, and to explore what we can do, even if just a little, for the world, for people, and for the planet.

We look forward to your enthusiastic participation.

..

Once again, I believe we had a very meaningful conversation with all the participants.
As always, the preparations are difficult alongside our farming work, so I am filled with gratitude and appreciation.

Thank you very much.

The next event will be titled "2025 Summary: Towards a New World in 2026," and will be held online on Tuesday, December 2nd from 8:00 PM. Please join us! We look forward to seeing you!

This course will continue until 2030, the year the SDGs are due to expire.

We sincerely thank you for your sincere participation this month.

Thank you as always.

[Announcement]

How aware are we of the damage, pollution, and harm caused by our everyday human activities? Is it the country's fault? Is it the companies' fault? Is it the farmers' fault? Is it that person's fault? No, it's the work of all of humanity. No one, including myself, can argue against this punishment. Is it self-evident that the Earth could disappear in an instant? Is it really okay to continue like this? Is there anything we can do? If we're living comfortably without even knowing what's going on, then we should take this opportunity to find out the truth. Once we know, we can no longer turn a blind eye.

On August 5th, we held the 73rd SDGs Super Basic Course for Adults. Once again, thank you to everyone who participated, despite the scorching heat and the tiredness of the night!

The theme of this course was "How to Produce Food: Can You Survive a Reiwa-era Famine?"

Food issues have become a major social issue and a key global concern in recent years.

This is a theme that we often cover in this course, but this time the focus was on how to prepare (obtain or produce food) for imminent crises (such as famine).

While natural disasters and climate change are common causes, many of the major famines that have occurred in Japan in the past seem to have been caused by problems with fragile social systems and lazy, immature politics.
Don't you think that modern society is in exactly the same state? There is a growing possibility that famines could be intentionally triggered here in Japan.

Living in Japan, a country of plenty, we tend to think that it's impossible to run out of food, but that's not actually the case.

If you're interested in what we talked about, please watch the archived video below.

..

Once again, I believe we were able to have a very meaningful conversation with all the participants.
As the preparations for each event are always so difficult alongside your farming work, I am filled with gratitude.

Thank you very much.

We sincerely thank you for your sincere participation this month as well.

[Notice] "What is a great famine?" "Isn't it crazy to think of a famine in an age when there is so much stuff?" "What would happen to us if a great famine really happened?" ... As one scholar has warned, we need to recognize the fact that a great famine could happen at any time in Japan. Lecturer Fujii realized this 10 years ago when he was doing business in Africa. So now, he has completely abandoned his life and work in Tokyo and is starting to grow rice, wheat, soybeans, and long-lasting vegetables from March 1, 2025. He will talk with participants about the theme of "how to make food" to survive, including stories of the hardships he has faced from the preparation period to the present. Please join us.
