Our AI Software alum Glen has just finished his second day as a Back-end Software Engineer at the Japanese company リブランディング株式会社!

In his first post-bootcamp role, Glen uses both AI and the engineering skills he learned at Le Wagon to build websites for clients. In addition to maintaining these websites, he also develops and maintains the company's SEO, MEO, and AIO SaaS products.

Kenji is an engineering executive and advisor with more than 20 years of experience leading product, platform, quality, and AI-native engineering organizations across the United States and Japan. He has held leadership roles at Postman, Indeed, Twitter, and several startups, most recently serving as Director of Engineering at Mercari.

Congrats to our AI software alum Jonathan on starting his new role as a Solutions Engineer at 3forge! He just graduated recently, so this was a quick turnaround 💪

At 3forge, Jon will be working in a fast-paced environment with cutting-edge technology and large-scale fintech implementations. From technical support and software management to testing and development, he’ll gain hands-on experience across the full implementation lifecycle while supporting prestigious clients.

Last Thursday, we hosted Le Wagon Tokyo Founders Night at Google for Startups Tokyo. Thanks to everyone who joined it despite the terrible weather 🌧️ and Sunshine Burri for hosting!

We heard an insightful talk from Raphael Hodé, nowthen, on building strong brands in today’s crowded market, and from Tatsuya Yajima at Shibuya Startup Support about helping international founders launch and grow startups in Japan.

We wrapped up the night with a panel discussion featuring Shinya Tawata (Section L) and Sam Nakazaki (Kakehashi Visa), moderated by Le Wagon Tokyo CEO Sylvain Pierre. The conversation covered startup fundraising, AI tools, product iteration, competition, and the realities of building a business in Japan.

Our AI Software alumna Glaucia has landed a brand new role as a part-time Web Designer at 森製綿所 (Futon Tokyo)!

In this position, she’ll be working on product pages, thumbnails, banners, and social media visuals for e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy. She’ll also use HTML/CSS to update and improve existing pages, all within an English and Japanese work environment.

It’s a great opportunity to combine her previous background in design and product with skills gained during the bootcamp, including multilingual communication and product thinking.

🎶 Alumni story: Matt, a startup founder

Our AI software alum Matt flew from Seoul to Tokyo to learn coding and apply it to his music production career. Little did he know that, in just a few months, he would launch a music royalty tech startup handa, get selected for the Antler startup accelerator, and even receive investment.
