Just in case you were looking to make summer plans outside of Tokyo, I just wanted to post about a summer camp that I have put together in Okinawa this summer--super excited about it! It will be from August 16th to 20th, and I will be running it along with current and former faculty from the University of the Ryukyus and Okinawa International University. We will learn about the unique nature, culture, and food of Okinawa, with lots of hands-on experiences, from planting coral to learning about farming! Hi everyone! I just wanted to post since it has been a while and give you an update on Honey Tree Tots. Unfortunately we had to close our Nakameguro preschool location last May due to COVID, but I have decided to keep this group open to post any future kid-related workshops we may have in Tokyo. I have relocated to Okinawa, but the plan is to offer kids baking and cooking workshops in Tokyo from time to time, COVID permitting! Would also love to host a summer camp in Okinawa for Tokyo kids and parents to get away from the city for awhile. Stay tuned! Summer school!! We will be holding our 3 day summer school from Monday 7/29 to Wednesday 7/31. Each day, we will learn about a different country and make the country’s cuisine and crafts.
For ages 3 to 10.
Drop off only, 10 am to 2 pm.
7/29 France, 7/30 Canada, 7/31 Mexico. Fees : preschool members 5,000 yen per day, 12,000 yen for 3 days. Non preschool members 6,000 yen per day, 15,000 yen for 3 days. 20 percent sibling discount available. Extended care available from 9 am to 10 am and 2pm to 4pm, 1000 yen per hour per child (no sibling discount for extended care). Please send a message to sign up!

Some pics from our table manner and etiquette class today! The kids ate their way very nicely through a 5 course 2 hour meal and learned how to set a formal table, how to sit, and how to use their silverware properly. They even practiced suitable topics for a dinner conversation, which was hilarious! Am thinking of planning a follow up daddy and daughter/ mommy and son lunch for more practice!
