From birth to six years a child mind is like a sponge soaking up information through senses
During this time a child would learn more quickly and easily than any other time if given the opportunity and guidance. Environment , materials and caregiver must be calm, beautiful, secure and ordered to engage a child’s interest and help him/her develop. Mistakes are normal and important part of child’s learning. The environment must give the child opportunity to correct themselves rather than depending on adults to correct them. And finally Practical life skills help a child develop and practice fine and gross motor skills, develop confidence in their abilities, develop independence, learn to get along with others. practical life activities includes self care , care and maintenance of the environment.
