Novel Coronavirus Covid-19
Cambridge Assessment English is monitoring the situation with the spread of Novel Coronavirus very closely. Our top priority is to ensure the health and safety of candidates and their families, and of the staff in our centres. We will do everything we can to minimise disruption for candidates, parents and teachers, while complying fully with international best practice and the advice of national and local healthcare authorities.

Examinations and tests in most locations are running as normal, except where local authorities have instructed otherwise. There may be additional measures in place to help ensure the health and safety of candidates and test centre staff. Authorised examination centres will inform candidates if there are any changes to the arrangements for their tests.
All Cambridge Assessment English examinations and tests in China are currently suspended until at least the end of March. National authorities and Cambridge English centres will inform candidates and parent of arrangements for alternative test dates or refunds in the coming days.
Examinations and tests in Italy are currently suspended.
Examinations and tests are also suspended in a small number of other cities and regions, in line with official requirements.
Candidates who are unable to attend their test as a result of official precautions against the spread of the Novel Coronavirus should contact their examination centre immediately to discuss arrangements for transferring their entry to an alternative date.
Any candidate who has travelled from Hubei province in China or other affected areas in the last 14 days should not attend a test. If a country’s government has issued more extensive health warning, candidates should follow the advice of national healthcare authorities.
Any candidate who has a cough, fever or is showing signs of being short of breath, should not attend a test. In these instances, candidates will be eligible for transfer to a different date or a refund.
As a precautionary health measure, until further notice candidates, centre staff and examiners may wear a face mask covering their mouth and nose during the test.
Local update for Japan = virtually all sessions this month have been cancelled, so there will likely be a demand for rearranged sessions at a later date. Training & certification sessions are so far unaffected, but the situation is still quite unpredictable. Updates in due course.
