文化経済学科は、2009年4月からスタートした新しい学科です。「文化」を人間が創り出し（生産）、それが人々の手を伝わって（分配）私たちの元に届けられている（消費）。このように、文化は「生み出され、人の手を伝わって、届けられる」という経済の営みに支えられて人々の暮らしを豊かにしています。文化経済学科は、「文化」に照準を合わせて、その経済的意味を明らかにすることを通して、経済を豊かにする「文化」と、文化を支える「経済」の良好な関係を築くための諸方策を、「創造的文化ビジネス分野」「観光ビジネス分野」「アグリ･フードビジネス分野」「まちづくり・地方行政分野」の4つの分野から学びます。
