4月に4歳になった孫の作品🥰

3歳からいけばなを始めましたが、
最初から色々言うといけばなを嫌いになると困るので、とにかく褒めていましたら

最近なかなかいい感じになってきました

いつも私が和室で花をいけていると寄ってきて、
私もするー！
というので

そこにあるお花どれでも使っていいよ、
というと
わーい♪と言いながら席に座って何やら作り始めます。

今回は中研で使用した花材の残りがありました

最近ハマっているヘビに似たアリウムに興味を示したので

それ、スネークアリウムって言うんだよ、

って言うと

これにする💕
とメイン花材を即決
そのあと
これなあに？とブラックリーフをとりだしましたが、
やっぱり可愛くないからピンク🩷にするね？
とラナンキュラス

白いツブツブの花の匂いが臭い！
と何回も言ってました🤣

仕上がりは、手直ししていません。

なかなか可愛らしく出来たと思う、
パパバカでございます😅

これからも楽しく続けてくれたら良いなと思います

The "Spring Ikebana Exhibition" is currently being held at the Ikenobo Headquarters in Kyoto!
My work is featured in the first session (today and tomorrow) at the Sasaki Jiyuka (Free Style) Lab booth, #7 on the 7th floor. If you are in Kyoto, I would be honored if you could stop by and take a look.

Yesterday evening, I had the pleasure of welcoming a gentleman from Australia to my private Art Sushi Roll class.

Amazingly, this was his 9th visit to Japan!
I also heard that Sydney is currently experiencing temperatures exceeding 40°C — such a contrast to Kyoto.

The other day, we held an ikebana experience at our sister location, Kangetsu Kyoto, in Ninenzaka.

Young baristas from all over the world joined us — so stylish and inspiring!
This is the second year we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming the same coffee company, following last year’s visit.

We look forward to seeing you again next year.

Yesterday, I visited Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto to celebrate my granddaughter’s Shichi-Go-San (7-5-3) ceremony for her third year.
Shichi-Go-San is a traditional Japanese celebration for children aged three, five, and seven, marking their healthy growth and happiness.

Families visit shrines dressed in beautiful kimono and hakama, offering prayers and taking photos to remember this special milestone.
It’s a heartwarming sight during Japan’s autumn season, surrounded by colorful leaves and joyful smiles.

The kimono my granddaughter is wearing was hand-sewn by my mother 30 years ago for my daughter.
After about 27 years, I took it out again and carefully restored it.
I’m truly happy that three generations could come together and take this photo.
