Sandokai Aikido Kyoto is an aikido dojo based in Kyoto, Japan. Aikido Kyoto was founded in 2003 by Yoko Okamoto.
合気道京都は、故植芝盛平大先生により大成され、本部道場の二代、三代目道主、また本部道場師範たちにより受け継がれてきた合気の技と道を通して、自己を知り、相手を思いやり、個々の才能を社会に還元できる人格形成を設立理念としています。
また、受動的に和を唱えるよりも主体性を持って協調を築いていく共同体を育み、無気力にも排他的にもならず、社会に参画してゆける次の時代の青少年、人間の育成を目指します。
Aikido is a non-competitive Japanese martial art of self-defense developed early in the 20th century by O Sensei; Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969). Aikido Kyoto is affiliated with the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Tokyo. Presently Moriteru Ueshiba, grandson of the Founder, is the Aikido Doshu.
