A type of Tokai cherry blossom arrangement.
Cherry blossoms should be traditionally arranged in three stages: buds on the top tier, half-open blossoms in the middle tier, and fully bloomed blossoms on the bottom tier. This tradition has been established since the time of its original birth character.
As you know, cherry blossoms begin to sprout new leaves as soon as the blossoms fall.
This cherry blossom arrangement depicts the lingering beauty of the blossoms after their peak season so the branches with only leaves are arranged in the lower section..
Early-blooming varieties such as Keiozakura, Tokaizakura, Otomezakura, Kawazuzakura, and Yokozakura begin to shed their petals at this time of year.
In ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement), appreciating the early blooms (early in season) is highly valued (especially in schools derived from tea ceremony arrangements). However, with regard to cherry blossoms, appreciating the early blooms, peak season, and lingering beauty is essential because cherry blossoms are truly the king of flowers.
