Two weeks ago, our 2026 Summer Semester Short Term students took a trip to downtown Kyoto and visited the Kanji Museum where they experienced various kanji-related games, activities, exhibitions, and etc.!

【Summer Business Holiday / 弊校の夏季休暇】

Please note that our school will be closed during the following periods for the summer business holiday (Japan Standard Time):

Long-term Course:
　Thursday, 13 August 2026 – Sunday, 16 August 2026

Short-term Course:
　Saturday, 8 August 2026 – Sunday, 16 August 2026

During this period, all classes and administrative offices will be closed.

We will resume normal business operations from Monday, 17 August 2026.

【MITARASHI FESTIVAL (24 July 2026)】
Last Friday, our 2026 Summer Semester Short Term students participated in the Mitarashi Festival at Shimogamo Shrine. Held during the summer, participants wade through the cool and shallow spring waters at the shrine grounds where they offer prayers for good health for the whole year.

【GION FESTIVAL YOIYAMA (16 July 2026)】
Last Friday, our 2026 Summer Semester Short Term students visited the Gion Festival Yoiyama (procession eve) along Shijo Street in downtown Kyoto. The streets were closed to allow festival goers to explore the massive yama-hoko (floats) and take in the sights and various sounds of the festival, arguably the biggest in Kyoto.

Last Friday, our 2026 Summer Semester Short Term students took a trip to the Cup Noodles Museum in Ikeda City in Osaka where they made their own custom cup noodles and enjoyed the museum displays showcasing the culture and history of instant ramen. 😋
