English Native Homeroom Teacher
at Kuwana Forest International Preschool
Kuwana Forest International Preschool, located in Kuwana City, Mie, was established in 2018, and is Kuwana’s first and only international preschool.
Our growing school seeks a full-time native English teacher to oversee a mixed-age 1.5 & 2 year-old preschool class(students aged up to 3 years). Training begins in April, 2026. Experience teaching young children is required. Preschool/kindergarten teaching experience is preferred.
We are looking for a playful and energetic team member who takes joy in caring for young, bilingual children, and is able to liaise with our bilingual Japanese staff to oversee child care and education management. If you are can manage both young children and classroom calendar and schedule planning, this job is for you!
The successful applicant will run a classroom of up to 14 children with the support of an experienced child-care team, comprising 2~3 support teachers(including nationally certified Hoikushi and bilingual Japanese staff). Duties include student safety management, monthly, weekly and daily planning and preparation of theme-related curriculum and craft materials, event planning and preparation, fostering a stimulative language immersion environment for young bilingual learners, attendance at school calendar events, guiding the socialization and emotional development of young bilingual learners and daily communication with parents.
You must be able to work together with our team to deal harmoniously with issues as they arise, open to integrating our school’s approach into your teaching style, and be able to take on board constructive criticism when changes or improvements are requested of you.
Daily outdoor play time is part of the schedule, so our staff get plenty of fresh air and sunshine!
Basic computer-based IT operation skills(Mac) are required for curriculum management, material production and daily report filing. Training will be provided by our experienced, outgoing native teacher.

Experience in childhood education and an intention of at least 2 years’ employment are preferred.
