4月20日、入学式を行いました。 今年度はミャンマー、ネパール、中国から新しい仲間を迎えました。
式典では、在校生から温かい歓迎の言葉があり、新入生からはこれからの学習に向けた力強い決意が述べられました。
その後の歓迎会では、カードを使ったコミュニケーションゲームやじゃんけん大会を実施しました。日本語で一生懸命コミュニケーションを取り、学年や国籍を超えて親睦を深める良い機会となりました。最後には先輩による歌の披露もあり、会場は大いに盛り上がりました。
スタッフ一同、学生たちが夢を叶えられるよう、サポートしていきます。

On 20 April, we held our entrance ceremony. This year, we welcomed new students from Myanmar, Nepal and China.
During the ceremony, current students offered warm words of welcome, whilst the new students expressed their strong determination to tackle their studies ahead.
At the welcome party that followed, we organised communication games using cards and a rock-paper-scissors tournament. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to communicate earnestly in Japanese and to deepen friendships across year groups and nationalities. The event concluded with a musical performance by senior students, which brought the venue to life.
All of our staff are committed to supporting the students so that they can achieve their dreams.

入国後、学生たちは休む間もなく、銀行口座の開設や市役所での住民登録といった生活に必要なさまざまな手続きを行いました。
そして、その後のオリエンテーションでは、学校のルールや生活に必要なことについて学びました。
新入生のみなさん、これからいっしょに頑張りましょう。

The new students arrived in two groups, on 5 April and 15 April.
Upon arrival, the students wasted no time in completing various essential administrative tasks, such as opening bank accounts and registering as residents at the town hall.
During the subsequent orientation, they learnt about the school rules and other practical matters necessary for daily life.
To all our new students: let’s work hard together from now on.

4月13日、在校生たちは太宰府へ校外学習に行きました。

太宰府天満宮では、それぞれがこれからの目標や受験に向けて、思いを込めてお参りをしました。
今年受験を控えている学生たちにとって、大切な時間となりました。

また、菅公歴史館も見学し、学問の神様である菅原道真公について理解を深めました。

その後は天満宮周辺を散策し、名物の梅ヶ枝餅も楽しみました。

学びとリフレッシュの両方を体験できた、充実した一日となりました。

明日から授業も始まります。
今年度もいい一年にしましょう。

On 13 April, the students went on a school trip to Dazaifu.

At Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, each student offered a prayer with heartfelt intentions for their future goals and upcoming entrance examinations.
It was a meaningful experience for the students who are due to sit their exams this year.

They also visited the Sugawara no Michizane Historical Museum, where they deepened their understanding of Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning.

Afterwards, they strolled around the area surrounding the shrine and enjoyed the famous Umegae-mochi sweets.

It was a fulfilling day that offered both learning and relaxation.

Classes resume tomorrow.
Let’s make this another great year.

3月18日（水）、今年も「キャリア授業」を行いました。
今年は２名の卒業生が来てくれました。
卒業生は先輩として、後輩たちに進学についてたくさん悩んだことや、どうやって進学先を選んだかなど、実際の経験についてお話をしてくれました。
また、卒業してからの自分の成長についてもお話してくれました。
卒業生への質問の時間には、真剣な表情でアドバイスを求める姿が見られました。
今年度もまた進学シーズンを迎えます。
学生一人ひとりが自分の夢を形にできるよう、職員一同サポートをしていきます。
学生のみなさん、いっしょに頑張りましょう。

On Wednesday 18 March, we held our annual ‘Career Guidance Session’. This year, we were joined by two graduates. Speaking as senior students, they shared their real-life experiences with their juniors, discussing the many concerns they had about further education and how they went about choosing their next steps. They also spoke about how they have grown since graduating. During the Q&A session with the graduates, students could be seen looking on with serious expressions as they sought advice. The application season is upon us once again this academic year. All our staff will continue to provide support so that every student can realise their dreams. Let’s all work hard together, students.

3月16日、3期生と4期生の卒業式を行いました。

あっという間の2年間。みんなが日本へ来たばかりのことを、今でもよく覚えています。
入学してから卒業するまで、毎日日本語の勉強だけでなく、文化や習慣など様々なことを学び、たくさんの経験を積みました。

自分の将来や進学先について真剣に悩み、一生懸命頑張ってきた学生たちの晴れ姿です。
天気にも恵まれ、素敵な卒業式となりました。

卒業生の中には「先輩たちのように進学先でも頑張って、”エールアカデミーの学生はいいね”と言われるようになります」と力強く話してくれた学生もいました。

実は、昨年度卒業したエールアカデミーの先輩たちがとても頑張っているという話を聞く機会があった学生たち。

こうして先輩から後輩へと繋がっていく姿に、心が温かくなります。

送辞・答辞も本当に素晴らしかったです。
答辞をした学生は、入国当初はとても大人しく、自分の意見を伝えることが苦手でした。
しかし、これまでの経験を通して自信をつけ、堂々と話す姿に大きな成長を感じ、胸が熱くなりました。

卒業生のみなさん、改めて、ご卒業おめでとうございます。
これからもそれぞれの場所で頑張ってくださいね。

On 16 March, we held the graduation ceremony for the third and fourth cohorts.
These two years have flown by. I still vividly remember when everyone first arrived in Japan. From the day they enrolled until their graduation, they not only studied Japanese every day but also learnt about various aspects of Japanese culture and customs, gaining a wealth of experience.
Here they are, looking their best, having given their all whilst earnestly contemplating their futures and further education. We were blessed with fine weather, making for a wonderful graduation ceremony.
Among the graduates, One of the graduates spoke with conviction, saying, ‘I’ll work hard at my next institution, just like the seniors before me, so that people will say, “The students at aile academy are great.”’
In fact, these students had recently heard stories about how hard the aile academy graduates from last year are working.
It warms my heart to see this bond being passed on from seniors to juniors in this way.
The valedictory and response speeches were truly wonderful. The student who gave the response speech was very shy when they first arrived and found it difficult to express their opinions. However, through their experiences, they have gained confidence, and seeing them speak so confidently was a testament to their tremendous growth; it truly moved me.
To all our graduates, once again, congratulations on your graduation. Please continue to do your best wherever you may be.

3月3日は「ひな祭り」です。
学生たちは日本の文化学習として、ひな祭りについて学びました。
まず、「ひな人形」やこの日に食べる「ちらし寿司」について学びました。
みんな先生の話を熱心に聞いていました。
そのあと、フラワーペーパー（薄い紙）を使って、自分たちでひな人形を作りました。
薄い紙を一枚ずつ開くのは難しそうでしたが、みんなとても楽しそうでした。
できあがった世界にひとつだけの可愛いひな人形を見て、みんな嬉しそうでしたよ。

The 3rd of March is Hina Matsuri.
The pupils learnt about Hina Matsuri as part of their Japanese cultural studies.
First, they learnt about the hina dolls and the chirashi sushi eaten on this day.
Everyone listened intently to the teacher's explanation.
Afterwards, they made their own hina dolls using flower paper (thin paper).
Unfolding the thin paper one sheet at a time seemed tricky, but everyone looked thoroughly delighted.
Seeing their finished, one-of-a-kind adorable hina dolls, everyone looked delighted.

2月20日に、長崎へ行きました。
3月に卒業する学生たちにとって、最後の課外学習です。

事前学習で長崎の歴史や文化について学び、
当日は実際に現地を訪れ、自分の目で見て学びました。

これまで知らなかった日本の一面にふれ、
それぞれが感じたことがあったようです。

また、各自で課題に取り組み、
学びを深めることができました。

卒業前の大切な思い出となる一日になりました。

On 20th February, we visited Nagasaki.
For the students graduating in March, this was their final field trip.

Through preparatory study, they learned about Nagasaki's history and culture,
and on the day itself, they visited the site in person to learn through their own eyes.

They encountered a side of Japan previously unknown to them,
and each seemed to have their own reflections.

Furthermore, by tackling individual assignments,
they were able to deepen their learning.

It became a day that will form a cherished memory before graduation.

2026年1月9日、3月に卒業するみんなで太宰府天満宮へ行きました。
学問の神様として知られる場所で、参拝の作法「二礼二拍手一礼」を実際に体験しました。
日本の伝統文化に触れ、みんな真剣な表情でお参りしていました。

参道では梅ヶ枝餅を味わっている学生もいて、「おいしい！」「初めて食べました！」と嬉しそうな声が聞こえました。

その後は九州国立博物館へ。
日本とアジアの交流の歴史について学び、「日本は昔から外国とつながっていたんですね」と新しい発見もあったようです。教室の外での学びは、やはり特別な体験になります。

最後は神戸クックでみんなで食事をしました。
それぞれ好きな料理を選びながら、日本語で自然に会話する姿がとても印象的でした。

学びあり、笑顔ありの、充実した一日となりました。

On 9 January 2026, we visited Dazaifu Tenmangū Shrine with the group graduating in March.
At this site renowned as the deity of learning, we experienced the traditional worship ritual of 'two bows, two claps, one bow'.
Engaging with Japanese traditional culture, everyone paid their respects with earnest expressions.

Along the approach, some students sampled umegae mochi rice cakes, with delighted voices exclaiming, "Delicious!" and "My first time trying this!"

Afterwards, we visited the Kyushu National Museum.
Learning about the history of exchange between Japan and Asia, some remarked, "So Japan has been connected with foreign countries since ancient times," suggesting new discoveries were made. Learning outside the classroom truly becomes a special experience.

Finally, we all had a meal together at Kobe Cook.
It was very impressive to see everyone naturally conversing in Japanese while choosing their favourite dishes.

It was a fulfilling day filled with learning and smiles.

1月13日に、2025年4月入学と10月入学のみなさんと高良大社へ初詣に行きました。
高良山の石段を下から歩いて登り、新年の参拝を体験しました。

参拝の作法を確認しながら実際にお参りをし、日本のお正月文化や神社でのマナーについて学ぶ良い機会となりました。
長い石段でしたが、みんな最後まで頑張って登りきりました。

教室の中だけでは学べない、日本文化に直接触れる貴重な一日となりました。

On 13th January, we visited Kōra Shrine for the first shrine visit of the year with both April and October intake students.
We walked up the stone steps of Mount Kōra from the bottom, experiencing a New Year's shrine visit.

We practised the proper etiquette for worship while actually paying our respects, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about Japanese New Year culture and shrine manners.
Though the stone steps were long, everyone persevered and made it to the top.

It proved a valuable day, offering direct exposure to Japanese culture that cannot be gained solely within the classroom.

みなさん、日本で2月3日は何の日でしょうか。
そうです。「節分」です。
学生たちは、節分についての文化学習を行いました。

節分は、日本の伝統行事で、毎年2月3日ごろに行います。

「節分」は、季節を分ける日という意味です。
今は、春が始まる前の日に行います。

むかしの日本では、季節が変わるときに悪いことが起こりやすいと考えられていました。
そのため、悪いものを追い出して、しあわせを迎えるために豆まきをします。

豆をまきながら、
「鬼は外！福は内！」と言います。

鬼は、病気や災いなどの悪いことをあらわします。
福は、しあわせや健康をあらわします。

また、節分の日には「恵方巻き」を食べます。
恵方巻きは、太い巻きずしです。

その年のよい方向（恵方）を向いて、
話さずに一本食べると、願いごとがかなうと言われています。

アルバイト先で見たことがある学生たちは、
「自分たちが見たものはこれだったんだ！」と気づき、
より深く理解することができたようです。

日本では、季節の行事を大切にします。
節分は、新しい季節を気持ちよく始めるための大切な文化です。

もうすぐ新年度です。
気持ちよく新しい一年を始められるといいですね。

Everyone, what day is the 3rd of February in Japan?
That's right. It's 'Setsubun'.
The students undertook cultural studies about Setsubun.

Setsubun is a traditional Japanese event held around the 3rd of February each year.

'Setsubun' means 'the day that divides the seasons'.
Nowadays, it is held on the day before spring begins.

In ancient Japan, it was believed that bad things were more likely to happen when the seasons changed.
Therefore, beans are scattered to drive out evil and welcome happiness.

While scattering the beans,
people chant, "Demons out! Fortune in!"

The demons represent evil things like illness and misfortune.
Fortune represents happiness and health.

Also, on Setsubun day, people eat "Ehomaki".
Ehomaki is a thick rolled sushi.

It is said that if you face the year's auspicious direction (eho) and eat the entire roll in silence, your wishes will come true.

Students who had seen this at their part-time jobs realised,
"So this is what we saw!"
and seemed to gain a deeper understanding.

In Japan, seasonal events are cherished.
Setsubun is an important cultural tradition for starting the new season with a fresh feeling.

The new academic year is almost upon us.
It would be lovely to start the new year feeling refreshed.

遅れての投稿です。

2025年12月24日、学生たちといっしょに大掃除をしました。
学生たちは毎日、自分たちが使った教室や図書室などを掃除しています。
この日は年内最後の登校日。

いつもはできない窓拭きやエアコン掃除、それから学校の周りのゴミ拾いを行いました。

そのおかげで、今年もきれいな教室で新年が迎えられましたよ。

This is a belated post.

On 24 December 2025, we carried out a thorough clean-up with the students.
The students clean the classrooms and library they use every day.
This day was the last school day of the year.

We tackled tasks we don't usually manage, such as window cleaning, air conditioning unit cleaning, and picking up litter around the school grounds.

Thanks to this, we were able to welcome the New Year in clean classrooms once again this year.
