Two ladies from my dear friend Sensei Daniel Coyle’s Dojo in Canada 🇨🇦 came to visit and train at Tokugen Dojo! We went over some round block applications, footwork and pair drills. Keep up the great work 😃
Also we were treated to bundle of maple 🍁 products from back home, yumm yumm.

1986 at Shihan André Gilbert’s Kyokushin Karate Dojo in Montréal, Québec, Canada 🇨🇦
Fighters from Japan (Kimoto & Takeyama?) came to visit prior to the 3rd World Open Karate Tournament 1987🔥👊🔥
My memory is that there was about 40 rounds of kumite 😳😃😅

Recent kumite testing highlights for 3rd kyu (7 rounds @ 2min each). Great work for these tournament champions! Consistent training & dedication gives good results.

We had the privilege to welcome Sensei Marcel de Jong 6th dan from in the Netherlands 🇳🇱.
He is an passionate & experienced martial artist with an open mind and motivating outlook 😃
We worked both Goju-ryu & Uechi-ryu Sanchin kata, basic uke waza principles, basic mawashi uke & variations, tenshin footwork & applications with kicking pad drills 👊
We noticed all the similarities within each system making it interesting training for both of us.
Thank you for your visit & hopefully we can meet again 👍

Nice visit from one of our students who moved to Australia and is continuing his training in a Kyokushin Dojo also participating in tournaments 👍😃👊
