First impressions are everything! ✨ When you meet someone for the first time, how do you say "Nice to meet you" in a way that fits the situation?

第一印象はとても大切です！✨ 初対面の方に会った時、その場にぴったりの「はじめまして」を英語で伝えてみませんか？

💡 Which phrase should you choose? / どれを使えばいい？
Today’s list moves from casual to formal. Here is a quick guide on how to use them:

Level 1: Casual (Friends & Parties) 🤝
"Nice to meet you."
"Great to meet you."

(一番シンプルで、どんな場面でも使える万能な表現です！)

Level 2: Friendly & Polite (Business or New Friends) 😊
"I’m happy to meet you."
"It’s a pleasure to meet you."

(「お会いできて嬉しいです」という気持ちがより伝わります。)

Level 3: Formal (VIPs or Special Occasions) 🎩
"I am very pleased to meet you."
"It is an honor to meet you."

(とても丁寧で、相手への敬意を表す特別な表現です。)

今年も恒例のビアガーデンパーティーを開催します！皆さんにまたお会いできるのを、スタッフ一同楽しみにしています。

This event is open to our adult students (20+), former students, and anyone interested in joining the Evergreen family. It’s a wonderful chance to practice your English in a relaxed setting, catch up with old friends, and meet our teachers outside the classroom!

このイベントは、20歳以上の在校生、卒業生、そしてエバーグリーンに興味がある方ならどなたでも大歓迎です。 リラックスした雰囲気で英語を話したり、懐かしい友人と再会したり、クラスを離れて先生たちと交流できる絶好のチャンスです！

もうすぐゴールデンウィークですね！✨ 高知でのんびり過ごしますか？それともどこかへお出かけですか？今日は、連休の予定を英語で伝える時に便利な表現をマスターしましょう！

In English, the phrase we use depends on how "set" the plan is:
英語では、予定の「決まり具合」によって使い分けをします。

1. I’m going to... (A set plan / すでに決まっている予定)

Use this for things you’ve already decided to do.

Example: "I’m going to visit my family." (家族に会いに行きます。)

2. I plan to... (An intention / 〜するつもり)

Use this for your general intentions or goals for the break.

Example: "I plan to relax at home." (家でのんびりするつもりです。)

3. I’m thinking of... (A possibility / 〜しようかなと考えている)

Use this for things you haven't 100% decided yet.

Example: "I’m thinking of going to the beach." (海に行こうかなと考えています。)

4. My family will... (A group decision / 家族で〜します)

Use this when talking about what your whole group has decided.

Example: "My family will go to the zoo!" (家族で動物園に行きます！)

The cherry blossom season in Kochi is reaching its beautiful end! 🌸 We had such a wonderful time enjoying the flowers around Kochi City before they started to dance away in the wind.

While the pink petals are falling, we are so excited to see the "fresh green" leaves starting to appear—just in time for our new school term! 🌿
