54 kg of coffee and 8.3 kilograms of vegetables for composting today. 137 kg this year and over 1000 kg in five years and 565 kg coffee this year so far and over 6000 kg recycled in 5 years. Hopefully we can expand more and help more with the SDGs and sustainability of our school and community.
今日、コーヒー54kgと野菜8.3kgを堆肥化しています。今年は既に137kg、過去5年間で1000kg以上の堆肥を作り出しました。今年、これまでにコーヒー565kg、過去5年間で6000kg以上をリサイクルしました。今後さらに規模を拡大し、学校と地域社会のSDGsと持続可能性に貢献できることを願っています。

One of Ascot’s focus points is art and design. Here are works from pre-k - year 11. Mainly different styles and mediums. Art and design helps students open their minds to ideas and dreams to create a brighter future.
アスコット校の重点分野の一つは、アートとデザインです。これらは幼稚園児から高校2年生までの作品で、様々なスタイルや素材が用いられています。アートとデザインは、生徒たちがアイデアや夢を広げ、より明るい未来を創造するのに役立っています。

Our campus is in full bloom 🌸

But this isn’t just about what is growing… it’s about what our students are becoming.

Every day, they are planting, harvesting, composting, and cooking.

🍎 Fruit trees across campus
🥔 40+ potato plants and growing gardens
🌱 6 tons of coffee waste + 2 tons of food waste recycled into soil

Recently, students worked together to remove tree stumps and expand our growing space by 10%.

They didn’t ask what someone else should do.
They stepped in and made it better.

That mindset—contributing, not waiting—is something we are trying to build every day.

This is more than sustainability.
This is responsibility.
This is real-world learning.

キャンパスは満開の花でいっぱいです🌸 でも、これは単に植物が育っているということだけではなく、
生徒たちがどんな人間に成長しているかということの現れです。
生徒たちは毎日、種をまき、収穫し、堆肥を作り、料理をしています。

最近、生徒たちは協力して木の切り株を取り除き、栽培スペースを10%拡張しました。

彼らは誰かに頼むのではなく、
自ら進んで行動しより良いものにしました。
「言われるまでもなく貢献する」というこの姿勢こそ、私たちが日々育もうとしているものです。
これは単なる持続可能性ではありません。
これは責任です。
これは現実世界での学びです。

Five new students joined year 2 so we needed more storage for their materials. This presented a great opportunity to talk, listen, and try to build. The students worked on levers and screws. In the end they were able to finish the two stands in 20 min. With the teacher coaching and them trying their best.
2年生に、5人の新入生が加わったため、教材を保管するスペースがもっと必要になりました。これは、話し合い、耳を傾け、実際に物を作る絶好の機会となりました。生徒たちは、てこやネジを使って工作に取り組みました。先生の指導と生徒たちの努力のおかげで、最終的には20分で、2つのスタンドを完成させることができました。

Our Easter events are happening now. Students making baskets, and later hunting eggs as well as caring for each other and learning to bond with all of our new students that started in April.

Secondary students took the vantage picked by the primary and made Kimchi for future lunches. This way they work towards sustainability while learning about cultural foods and traditional ways to preserve food.
中学生们借鉴了小学生的做法，制作泡菜作为未来的午餐。这样，他们既能学习文化食物和传统食物保存方法，又能为可持续发展贡献力量。
