From longtime friendships built over 12 years to new connections formed in their final year, the Class of 2026 came together to celebrate an unforgettable milestone at our Graduation Ceremony this Saturday. 🎓
The inspiring speeches from our Valedictorian and Salutatorian reflected the growth, resilience, and spirit of this remarkable class, and it has been incredible to watch each student grow into thoughtful, talented, and compassionate young adults in their own unique way.
Surrounded by proud families, friends, and teachers, our graduates closed one chapter and began another. Whatever paths they choose to pursue next, we know the Class of 2026 will continue to make a meaningful impact on the world.
Congratulations, graduates! Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog!
We hope you come back and visit us whenever you can. 🐾

What makes Marist feel different?
Ask almost anyone in our community, and they’ll tell you the same thing: the warmth, the kindness, and connection between students, teachers, and families.
This year’s Teacher & Staff Appreciation Day, beautifully organized by our PTA, captured that spirit perfectly.
Families shared homemade dishes from around the world, turning the day into a celebration of the many cultures that make up our MBIS community. Students also expressed their gratitude through handwritten letters, reminding our teachers and staff just how deeply appreciated they are.
Moments like these are what make Marist more than just a school - a caring international family with shared values.

At Marist, the Arts play a vital role in developing confident, creative learners.
Our Spring Arts Festival was a joyful celebration of creativity and expression.
Lower School students sang, danced, and performed with instruments, proudly sharing their learning. Upper School students energized the audience with their band performances.
Across the campus, students showcased a wide range of artistic work—from traditional drawings and paintings to sculpture, digital creations, and knitting. Each piece reflected the unique imagination and individuality of our students.
From the sounds of musical instruments and choreographed dance moves to the shapes and colors of art and design, it was inspiring to see students express themselves with confidence and a spirit of excellence.
Experience learning like this at Marist.
We offer campus tours every day—why not come and experience Marist for yourself?

Bulldog Robotics in action! 🤖🙌
At MBIS, Bulldog Robotics allows students to utilize the VEX V5 STEM learning system, designing, building, and coding metal-based robots using a bolt-together platform. In practice matches like this one, students test their designs, refine their strategies, and work collaboratively as they prepare for competition.
As part of the VEX Robotics Competition, the world’s largest middle and high school robotics program, with over 20,000 teams across 50 countries, students take on new engineering challenges each year. With opportunities to compete in Japan’s National Championship in January and even the VEX Robotics World Championship in April/May, their learning extends far beyond the classroom.
Congratulations to our Bulldog Robotics Team on their impressive 4 - 1 victory over Canadian Academy last weekend. The team represented the school with great spirit. Well done to all involved.
Follow along to see their journey to the competition, and drop a 🤖 in the comments to cheer on our Bulldogs!

Suma is not only a place of poetry and storytelling, but a place where history still lives on.
The seaside described in a chapter of The Tale of Genji is where Marist is located.
Last year, our PYP Exhibition students brought history to life, expressing Suma through drama in their Japanese class.
Learning at Marist goes beyond acquiring knowledge. Students are encouraged to feel, question, and express.
Since our founding in 1951, Marist has continued its journey in Kobe, with an education grounded in respect for history and the local community. The historic Suma-dera Temple is a 10-minute walk from our campus, and during cherry blossom season, students experience the beauty of spring in Japan up close.
Yesterday, with Sakura in full bloom, our Lower School students visited Suma-dera to connect with the culture and bask in the gorgeous blossoms. Surrounded by both sea and mountains, our students learn and grow each day in a truly enriching environment.
We warmly invite you to come for a tour of our campus and experience the Marist community.

A fantastic display of determination, teamwork, and school spirit at the MBIS Upper School Sports Day!! 💪
Last Friday was a true reflection of one of our four pillars of growth: Athletics. Students embraced a spirit of participation, healthy competition, and the opportunity to build resilience and teamwork. Across every event, there was a strong sense of camaraderie, with students pushing their limits while supporting one another along the way.
Moments like these highlight the kind of environment where students grow not only as athletes, but as confident, resilient individuals.
Congratulations to everyone who took part and to team Samurai! 🥅

A day full of energy, smiles, and team spirit at our Lower School Sports Day 🤩
Our Lower School students truly embodied our school motto—Motivate, Believe, Inspire, Succeed.
They encouraged one another, tried their best, and celebrated every moment together. From fun races to team challenges, it was wonderful to see confidence growing and friendships shining through.
A glimpse into how our youngest learners build confidence, friendships, and a positive attitude toward challenges at MBIS!
Well done to all our young athletes and congratulations to team Kensei! 💚
