This time, it's Ashiya University.
Founded in 1964, it is a private university—a rarity among private institutions—where students can specialize in the study of education.

We emphasize intensive instruction and education that leverages the benefits of small class sizes, and we place a strong focus on international exchange, offering a wide range of exchange programs and language training opportunities.
Another key attraction is our highly specialized “academic education,” delivered by faculty members with expertise across a broad spectrum of fields, including business, education, the environment, information technology, engineering, and dance performance.

This time, it's National Institute of Technology(KOSEN), Akashi College.
We are implementing educational programs that lead the way among technical colleges nationwide, having been designated as a model school for promoting active learning and as a Global Technical College Model School at 51 National Institutes of Technology across the country.

Many of our students aspire to work abroad or study overseas, so we place a strong emphasis on “EMI” classes—where specialized knowledge is taught in English—and some courses are conducted entirely in English.

Exploring “Deep Kobe” with International Students: The Suidōguchi Shopping Street.

Get Know Loooooooocal! is an event that brings together local communities and Nada Oyaji Lab Guide international students.
This time, we explored the hidden gems of the Suidōsuji Shopping District.

We visited markets, general stores, and cafés, where the shop owners told us not only about their products but also shared fascinating stories about the area’s history. We enjoyed a fun lunch with international students from all over the world and Nada Oyaji Lab Guide.

We all had a great time exploring the Deep Shopping District together—it was a fun day.

Reflecting on the Consortium of Universities in Hyogo’s Initiatives with International Students from Myanmar.

Since the military coup and the major earthquake, chaos has continued in Myanmar.

A documentary video featuring the work of Professor Sakiko Kanbara of Kobe City College of Nursing, a member institution of the Conso, has been released.

“We want people to understand the current situation in Myanmar”—driven by this desire, Professor Kanbara and Conso, in collaboration with Kobe City University of Foreign Studies, Kobe City College of Nursing, and the University of Marketing and Distribution Sciences, held an event titled “MYANMAR: Reflecting on Six Months Since the Earthquake” in October 2025.

Since then, The Consortium of Universities in Hyogo has continued its disaster prevention efforts, including the “Project to Support Foreign Residents in Times of Disaster.”
