💥There is no Teacher's Day in Japan 🇯🇵...
Once I asked my Japanese colleague, teacher Yamamoto:
- When Japan celebrates Teachers' Day, how do you celebrate it?
Surprised by my question, he replied:
- We don't have a teacher's day. After hearing his answer, I didn't know whether to believe him or not. I flashed a thought: "Why is a country, where economy, science and technology developed, so disrespectful to the teacher and his work?" ".
***
Somehow, after work, Yamamota invited me to visit his home. Since he lived far from school, we took the subway. During the evening rush hour, the subway cars were overcrowded. Somehow, after squeezing, I stood, holding tightly to the handcuffs. Suddenly, the grandfather sitting beside me gave me his seat. Not understanding such respect from an elderly person, I could not accept his proposal, however he insisted I was forced to sit down.
After leaving the subway, I asked Yamamoto to explain what Aksakala did. Yamamota smiled and pointed to my teacher's chest and said:
- This old man saw your teacher's sign and as a sign of respect to your status, gave up his place.
Since I went to visit teacher Yamamoto for the first time, it was uncomfortable to go empty-handed and I decided to buy a gift. I shared my thoughts with Yamamoto, he supported me and said that there is a shop for teachers ahead where you can purchase items at discount prices.
Again, I couldn't control my emotions:
- Are benefits provided only to teachers? - I asked.
Confirming my words, Yamamota said:
- In Japan, the teacher is the most respected profession, the most respected person. Japanese entrepreneurs are very happy when teachers come to their stores, consider it a great honor for themselves.
***
During my time in Japan, I have repeatedly seen how the Japanese respect teachers immensely. There are separate seats for them in the subway, separate stores are open for them, teachers do not stand in queues to get a ticket for any type of transport.
Why do Japanese teachers have a separate holiday when every day of their lives is like a holiday?
By telling this story, I wholeheartedly wish our society would grow to this level, to treat teachers like this, and teachers deserve such a high rank! »
Forward this message to all your colleagues. Let pride beat in our chests! Teacher in front of your name i worship...
