This page is set up to introduce the school activities, events, programs and routine updates for school community. Kawasaki International School was established as a kindergarten school in 2009 under the name Tender Hearts International School with an objective to provide an open education environment that is receptive to both international and Japanese community. The school since then has had stu

dents from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds and has helped provide international experience to its students. The school aspires to contribute to Japanese community by offering a platform to interact with international community for truly global society. The school was registered in 2011 with the Kawasaki city ward office to comply with the requirements set forth by the city to address the needs of children in their early tender ages with the safety and care they deserve. Since March 2014, school not only caters to kindergarten education but also provides education for the primary school children as an international primary school. Early education of children is directly linked to their future growth. It is, therefore, critical that children receive a learning environment that is conducive to their mental and physical growth. At Kawasaki International School, therefore, we have selected a curriculum to provide such environment to children – for both pre-school and primary school education. The school curriculum is developed based on CIE (Cambridge International Examination). It is supplemented by IB (International Baccalaureate) and elective CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). The school aspires for excellence and will continuously strive to be a hallmark of education. The school provides a unique core curriculum, drawn from varied international curricula, that is continually being reviewed and broadened to include latest and best teaching practices from around the world. Our objective is to educate to:
1. Develop strong and confident individuals who have pleasant personality.
2. Develop strong interest in learning through active participation.
3. Cultivate deep respect for core intellectual values and understanding for various races and people.
4. Gain understanding about the rich and ancient cultures and heritage of the world.
5. Inculcate social awareness for tolerant attitude.
6. Encourage free thinking for developing inquisitive minds.
7. Help students understand importance of involvement in community service/social projects.
8. Cultivate leadership qualities for personality enhancement.
