Takako Abe opened AB.English in 1983. She created the school to give people an understanding of several cultures. Abe wanted students to be fluent enough to voice their opinions. She believed being able to say more than “yes” and “no” is extremely valuable. The school started out offering English conversation and grammar classes but would eventually grow to offer a lot more. In 2000, the school’s

name changed to AB.Enterprise along with the opening of a second location in Aizumi. There was an addition of a PC department for learning how to use computers. Abe wanted her students to join the global society through computer skills and English, a language used in many countries. A year later, AB.Enterprise began offering classes for math, science, social studies, and history along with a seasonal curriculum. Another location in Kitajima was opened in 2008. Then in 2009, the company started helping those who wanted to study abroad. Translation and interpretation joined the school’s many offerings as well. Abe turned her school into a place where people can fulfill their dreams and gain an understanding of several cultures. AB.Enterprise now teaches over 250 students.
