Who is kaDON? kaDON instructors Kenny Endo, Shoji Kameda and Kaoru Watanabe are three of the taiko world’s most respected artists. Kenny Endo has over 35 years of experience as one of the pioneers of the art form and was the first non-Japanese national

to receive a natori (professional stage name) in Hogaku Hayashi. Shoji Kameda is a Grammy nominated musician and one of the taiko world’s most performed composers. Kaoru Watanabe is a former artistic director of KODO and North America’s leading practitioner of the shinobue. What can I learn at kaDON? kaDON features instructional and repertoire video courses. Instructional courses focus on basic technique and exercises in a variety of playing styles. Repertoire courses feature pieces that you can learn and perform. We've released three instructional courses with our launch: Introduction to Shime Daiko, Beta Basics and Fue Fundamentals. Our first repertoire courses will feature Ready Set kaDON! and Lion Chant, to be released soon. Both course types will include downloadable play along tracks, exercises and scores to make learning as fun and as easy as possible, and best of all, you can learn at your own pace. We’ll be adding new lessons and contents weekly! Who is kaDON for? kaDON is for anyone who is interested in learning and/or improving their taiko and fue skills. Beginning August 1, TaikoVentures and kaDON will begin a collaborative transition of TaikoVentures’ Business Services program. Throughout the transition period, existing services— including contracts, invoicing, registration, and other administrative support — will continue without interruption, with the TaikoVentures team remaining actively involved through the end of the year.

Beginning in January 2027, kaDON will continue operating and supporting the Business Services program, building on the foundation that TaikoVentures has created over the years. We plan to continue growing these services by expanding resources, strengthening connections within the taiko community, and creating new opportunities for artists and organizations.

We are deeply grateful to the TaikoVentures team for the trust they have placed in us and for their years of dedication to supporting taiko artists. We look forward to working together over the coming months to ensure this important community resource continues to thrive. Stay tuned for updates as we embark on this next chapter!

Immerse yourself in the heart of Japan’s spiritual legacy at the Ise Taiko Gathering, a weeklong journey blending taiko mastery, cultural discovery, and connection. Taking place in the area that's home to Japan’s most sacred Shinto shrine, the week culminates at the Nihon Taiko Matsuri, one of Japan's three major taiko festivals. GENERAL FAQ:

 💫Dates: Monday, Oct. 19th, 2026 – Monday, Oct. 26th, 2026 (7 Nights)
 💫Instruction: 1-day orientation and Ise Jingu tour + 4-day taiko intensive + 2-day Nihon Taiko Matsuri
 💫Performance: Performance opportunities at the Nihon Taiko Matsuri
 💫Activities: Tour of Ise Jingu and Okage Yokocho, free time to explore nearby, open practice slots
 💫Registration Fee – Dormitory Option: $2,750 USD
 💫Registration Fee – Hotel Option: $3,500 USD (shuttle service included)
