We are currently looking to hire a new part-time English teacher that can start working from September at our small yet growing school.This position will have the opportunity to grow into a full-time position.So, if you are energetic, professional, and love working with students of all ages, we would love to have a chance to meet you for an interview.

Position Basics:
Lessons are 40 minutes and 50 minutes
Lessons include private and or small groups
School events: 1 Week Summer School / Halloween Party / Christmas Party
Student ages: Ages can vary from baby to adult
During non-lesson hours, you will be required to report any update(s) to our headquarters in Shizuoka.
When you are not teaching you may be given office work.
Working days: Tuesday / Thursday / Friday / Saturday
Tuesday - 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm (including 30 minutes Prep time)
Thursday - 09:30 am to 1:00 pm (including 30 minutes prep time)
Friday - 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm (including 30 minutes prep time)
Saturday - 08:30 am to 5:00 pm (including 30 minutes prep time)
(As student numbers increase additional lessons and days can and or will be added.)
Vacations days: School calendar year 2-weeks Golden week / 2-weeks Obon Break / 2-weeks Winter Break / plus various government holidays throughout the year. No holiday or vacation pay is given.
Work Location:Modern English Ikeda (Ikeda, Osaka) – a two-minute walk from Ikeda station (Takarazuka Line)
All transportation costs to and from work will be fully be reimbursed.
Training and Support:
You will receive comprehensive (and paid) training at 1,500 yen per hour. The training will be from our headteacher/Manager. The head/manager will assist you to ensure that you will have all the tools needed. The curriculum is set, established, and effective, any and all ideas are always welcomed. We encourage our teachers to add their own creativity to the lessons.
You will receive 1,000 yen per working day for prep-time and clean-up. You will receive payment for all school events held and any requested work outside of normal working hours at a rate of 1,500 yen per hour. Expect for Summer School which you will receive full pay at 2,200 per hour.
Prospective Candidates:
English ability: Native-level
Japanese: Not required
Must be from a native English speaking country.
Must currently reside in Japan with a valid visa to work.
Must have a university degree (in any major)
Must have at least 1-year teaching experience (preferably with children and adults)
Must have one of the following TESOL/TEFL/CELTA types of certification totaling 100 or more hours.
