■ Summary of the workshop：
This workshop highlights how the local government unit emphasizes monitoring their coastal environment. It will showcase research, monitoring activities, and assessments aimed at preserving the integrity of the coastal zone environment. Furthermore, the topics to be discussed are integral to the onsite team project of the respondents. The first presentation will cover the socioeconomic impacts of changes in the coastal zone environment, based on the initial findings of this project. The second presentation will focus on the physical and chemical assessment of the coastal zone environment, an annual activity conducted by the committee to ensure ongoing monitoring. This presentation will also demonstrate that coastal management policies are informed by research data provided by the committee and other relevant sectors. The goal of this project is to integrate this Onsite Team Project (OTP) into the routine activities of the local government unit for monitoring the coastal zone environment.

■ Summary of the workshop：
This workshop presents a project about Iwami Kagura and tourism in Yunotsu Onsen, Shimane. It looks into the role that Kagura can play as a facilitator for tourism. In order to establish this role, the project looks at the meaning of Kagura and tourism for the residents of Yunotsu Onsen and if they support kagura for tourism development. It also includes the views of those who practise and perform. To gain a deeper understanding of tourists motivation to watch and perception of Kagura, findings from two sites - Hiroshima City and Yunotsu Onsen - are being presented. Both places host weekly Kagura performances and since access and viewer profiles differ, part of the Hiroshima findings also inform viewers preferences about experiencing Kagura in more traditional settings like shrines. To present the workshop attendees a more personal insight into Kagura and tourism at Yunotsu Onsen, Yuka Nishida, presents her view on these issues and tells the story from a Kagura performer who runs a restaurant in Yunotsu Onsen.

■ Summary of the workshop：
This on-site team project is collaborative work between Taoyaka Program student and the Non-Governmental Organization, the adat community, and local youth. This project aimed to reveal the historical and cultural remains of the ancient kingdoms in Minangkabau, such as cultural heritage sites, traditions, traditional leadership systems, and ancient settlements. Some of the results of this project have been published in two books launched in Indonesia and Malaysia. In addition, the data is also utilized to enrich information in the Jambu Lipo Gallery.

We held an Onsite Training-themed "Forest-based entrepreneurship opportunities and forest in international carbon trading contributing to the livelihood upliftment of forest-dependent households in India" jointly with Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani.

She recently received her Ph.D. from Graduate School for International Development and Cooperation, Hiroshima University.
