AAEE, Asia Association of Education & Exchange（一般社団法人アジア教育交流研究機構） Asia Association of Education& Exchange AAEE has three main goals.

The first goal is to promote mutual understanding among students and educators in the Asian region through a variety of activities, such as exchange programs for students and teachers, regular study meetings, sharing ideas on our webpage. The second goal is to resolve current educational problems in Asia in cooperation with teachers and researchers. AAEE continuously works hard to build a system in order to foster human resources which can actively contribute to the development of Asia. And the third is to actively support individuals or groups who are devoting themselves to the development of educational activities or students’ exchange in Asia.


当研究会は、アジア地域の学生交流・教育交流を積極的に推進することを目的に2008年に発足し、以下の3点を主眼に活動に邁進しております。

１．学生・教員交流イベントなどを通じてアジア地域の学生、教育者の交流を推進します。
２．教育者や研究者、学生が中心となってアジア地域における教育課題の解決の道筋を探ります。
３．アジア地域における、（当研究会の趣旨に添う）教育的活動や学生交流活動を企画する個人・団体を積極的に支援します。

✨ AAEE Virtual Youth Exchange Program 2025: Theme – EDUCATION ✨🌍

Education is more than just classrooms and textbooks, it is about opportunities, inclusion, and empowerment. Through this program, participants will engage in deep discussions about the challenges and potentials of education, discover how different societies approach learning, and work collaboratively to imagine what education could look like ten years from now.
How can education shape the future of our world?

This November, the AAEE Virtual Youth Exchange Program 2025 invites passionate young people from Japan, Nepal, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Bangladesh to come together and explore that question through cross-cultural dialogue, teamwork, and shared learning experiences.

Mero Sathi Project 2025

This August, the Asia Association of Education and Exchange (AAEE) will conduct the Mero Sathi Project—an Intercultural Co-learning Program in Nepal.
“Mero Sathi” means “my friend” in Nepali.

Theme:
“The Future of Education and Global Partnerships — The World in 2050”

Twelve university students—six from Japan and six from Nepal—will come together for this unique experience.

During the program, participants will stay in both urban and rural areas of Nepal, visiting a variety of educational institutions and taking part in homestays in mountain villages.
They will also explore critical social issues such as child poverty and education through a workshop with Save the Children, and engage in meaningful dialogue with local youth.

What makes this program truly unique is that students from both countries spend the entire duration of the program living, eating, and learning together.
By sharing daily life and observing each other’s cultures closely, they not only deepen their understanding of others but also discover more about themselves.

AAEE’s program is the longest-running initiative among all current Japan–Nepal international exchange programs.
What kinds of personal discoveries and cross-cultural “drama” will unfold this year?
