Jinseki International School - JINIS

子どもたちが寮の大掃除をする様子です。それぞれ割り当てられた担当場所を、一生懸命に掃除する様子がとても印象的でした。普段から寮を綺麗にしてくださる清掃スタッフの方への感謝の気持ちや、身の回りの物を大切にする姿勢が、子どもたちの中にしっかりと根付いています。

Here are our students taking part in a deep cleaning of their boarding house. It was truly inspiring to see each student working so diligently on their assigned areas. This hands-on experience has deeply rooted a sense of gratitude for our dedicated cleaning staff, while fostering a genuine respect for caring for their own belongings and shared spaces.

G1・G2の子どもたちは、神石高原町にある「とよまつ紙ヒコーキ・タワー」を訪れました。見晴らしの良い山頂公園にそびえる高さ26メートルのタワーから、子どもたちが折った手作りの紙飛行機を次々と大空へ！うまく風の気流に乗ると、1分近く飛び回る飛行機もあり、子どもたちは大興奮の様子でした。世界でも珍しい紙飛行機タワーでの体験は、子どもたちにとって心に残る思い出となりました。

Our G1 and G2 students visited the "Toyomatsu Paper Airplane Tower" here in Jinsekikogen Town. From the top of the 26-meter-high tower standing on a scenic mountaintop park, the children launched their handmade paper airplanes into the open sky! When an airplane caught the wind perfectly, it would soar gracefully for nearly a minute, leaving the children thrilled. This experience at a paper airplane tower—one of the few of its kind in the world—left the children with unforgettable, special memories.

JINISの「秘密基地」が大きくアップデートされました！ フィールドクラブの仲間たちが、みんなのために素敵なアウトドア学習の場へと拡張してくれた秘密基地。学校の森の中にあるこの特別な場所に、週末G1とG2の子どもたちが訪れ、元気いっぱいにアクティビティを楽しみました。子どもたちが五感を通して自然と触れ合える、大切な場所となっています。

JINIS’s "Secret Base" has received a major upgrade! The members of the "Field Club" worked together to expand the area into a wonderful space for outdoor learning. Over the weekend, our G1 & G2 students visited this special area located within the school forest, staying active and thoroughly enjoying themselves. It has become an essential place for the children to connect with nature through all their senses.

G3・4は広島と鳥取の県境にある道後山、G5・6は鳥取県の名峰・大山（1,709m）の登山に挑戦しました！急な坂道や階段に苦戦する場面もありましたが、青空の下で一緒にお弁当を食べたり、声を掛け合って友だちの荷物を持ってあげたりと、支え合う優しさがたくさん見られました。大自然の中、仲間と協力してやり遂げた経験は、子どもたちにとって大きな自信につながったようです。

Our G3 and G4 students took on the challenge of climbing Mt. Dogo, while G5 and G6 students challenged the 1,709-meter summit of Mt. Daisen! Despite struggling with steep slopes and stairs, they showed incredible kindness by sharing lunch under the blue sky, cheering each other on, and even carrying bags for tired friends. Overcoming these challenges together in nature has given the children great confidence and special memories.

G6はIPCユニット「What a wonderful world! (なんて素敵な世界！)」の学習として、大自然の不思議を探究しています。日本列島や地層の成り立ち、石の分類など、地球の歴史に関する問いを深く掘り下げていく子どもたち。校外学習で訪れた「三瓶」の大自然の魅力を伝えるために、ジオラマ制作にも取り組みました。

As part of their IPC unit "What a Wonderful World!", G6 students have explored the wonders of nature. The children dive deep into questions about the earth's history, such as the formation of Japan, the creation of rock strata, and the classification of rocks. To convey the beauty of Mt. Sanbe, which they visited during outing, they created 3D dioramas!

2024年 Bリーグ王者のプロバスケットボールチーム「広島ドラゴンフライズ」の皆さんがJINISに来てくださいました！代表取締役社長・浦伸嘉さんによるビジネスやリーダーシップについての貴重なお話のあと、体育館へ移動して選手たちによるバスケットボール教室やシュート対決を実施。プロの第一線で活躍する技を体感しながら、全校生徒が一体となって大いに盛り上がりました。

We were thrilled to welcome the Hiroshima Dragonflies, the 2024 champions of Japanese professional basketball! Following an inspiring talk on leadership and business by Representative Director Nobuyoshi Ura, our students hit the court for an exciting basketball clinic and shooting challenge with the players. It was an unforgettable day filled with passion, teamwork, and high energy across the entire school.

極真会館 広島県支部長の小田勝幸先生にお越しいただき、空手の体験教室を実施しました。G1・2は元気な「押忍！」の挨拶とともに基本の突きや蹴り、G3・4は相手を意識した動きを通じた自己コントロール、そしてG5・6生とBridge生は重心移動を意識した実践的な体の使い方に挑戦しました。 技術だけでなく、空手の大切な「礼節」や「自分と向き合う心」を深く学ぶ時間となりました。

Our students participated in a special karate workshop led by Mr. Katsuyuki Oda, Hiroshima Branch Chief of Kyokushin Kaikan. From learning basic etiquette and kicks to practicing advanced self-control and body movements, it was a meaningful opportunity for all grades to challenge both their minds and bodies through the spirit of Karate.

JINISのアーティスト・イン・レジデンスである香山善弘さんをお迎えし、備前焼の陶芸教室を実施しました。低学年は焼き物への鮮やかな絵付け、中学年は粘土を重ねて模様を足したお皿作り、そして高学年とBridge生は伝統的な抹茶茶碗作りに挑戦しました。自分の手で土に触れ、形にする難しさと楽しさを通じて、子どもたちの豊かな感性と創造性が光る特別なひとときとなりました。

Our students experienced a Bizen ware pottery class with our Artist-in-Residence, Mr. Yoshihiro Kayama. Lower grades enjoyed colorful painting, middle grades created textured plates, and upper grades challenged themselves to craft traditional matcha bowls. It was a wonderful hands-on opportunity to nurture their creativity through this beautiful Japanese craft.

ヨーロッパのトップボーディングスクールを巡り、現地の空気感を肌で体感するイギリス研修旅行。主にG4が参加するこの旅は、世界へ視野を広げ、将来の学びへの情熱を育む大切なステップです。今年は、イギリス国内の計9〜10校の名門校を訪問しました。各校で温かい歓迎を受けただけでなく、現地でたくましく成長しているJINISの卒業生たちとの嬉しい再会も果たすことができました。

The UK trip allows our students to immerse themselves in the distinct atmospheres of world-class boarding schools. Primarily for G4 students, this journey serves as a vital step to broaden their global horizons and nurture their passion for future studies. Our students visited 9 to 10 renowned schools across the UK this year. In addition to the warm hospitality received at each institution, they enjoyed inspiring reunions with JINIS alumni who are currently thriving and growing confidently abroad.

G4・5・6は4泊5日の広島・しまなみトリップに行ってきました。しまなみ海道をG4・5は42km、G6は70kmサイクリングするという、大きな挑戦から始まった今回の旅。最終日の平和記念公園と平和記念資料館の訪問では、一人ひとりが平和への願いを深く心に刻む、大切な時間となりました。その他にも、広島テレビ見学や宮島散策、お好み焼き作りなど、広島ならではの体験をたっぷり満喫しました！

Our G4, G5, and G6 students embarked on a 4-night, 5-day trip to Hiroshima and Shimanami! The journey began with a major challenge: cycling along the Shimanami Kaido, with G4 and G5 riding 42km, and G6 completing 70km. On the final day, our visit to the Peace Memorial Museum and Park provided a profound opportunity for each student to deeply reflect on their wishes for peace. The students also fully enjoyed unique experiences characteristic of Hiroshima, such as visiting Hiroshima Television, exploring Miyajima, and making okonomiyaki.
