🥋 From the Land of Its Birth — Discipline Takes Root 🥋
Karate is not just a martial art — it is a philosophy of discipline, humility, and self-mastery, born centuries ago in Japan. At our school, students have the privilege of learning karate in the very country of its origin, absorbing not only technique but the deeper values of respect, patience, and perseverance that define it.
This term marked a milestone: our students stood before their karate teachers for formal examination, putting months of dedication to the test. Each bow, each stance, each strike reflected more than physical skill — it reflected growing confidence, focus, and character.
Rooted in tradition, growing toward the future. That is the spirit of karate at HIA.
空手は単なる武道ではなく、規律・謙虚さ・自己鍛錬の精神文化です。その発祥の地である日本で、本校の生徒たちは技術だけでなく、礼儀・忍耐・努力という深い価値観を学んでいます。
今学期、生徒たちは空手の先生方による正式な審査に臨み、日々の努力の成果を示しました。一つひとつの礼、構え、突きには、技術の向上だけでなく、自信と精神的な成長が表れていました。

We are immensely proud of our talented students for their captivating cultural dance performance at the Nepal Festival in Odaiba, organized by NRNA Japan! Performing on an international stage, our young dancers brought the rich traditions, vibrant energy, and spirit of Nepal to life in Japan with incredible grace and passion. A big thank you to NRNA Japan for this wonderful platform, to our dedicated instructors, and to our supportive community. To our incredible students—thank you for making us all so proud and keeping our heritage shining brightly abroad! ❤️💃🕺

🌊 海のともだち (Friends of the Sea) 🐠
Our children painted an ocean together and filled it with fish, turtles, jellyfish, and crabs of their own design — each one a little different, just like the artists who made them.
Simple activities like this build creativity, confidence, and teamwork, one sea friend at a time. 🐢🦀
Thank you to our wonderful students for bringing the ocean to life!
子どもたちが力を合わせて海の絵を描き、魚やカメ、クラゲ、カニなど、それぞれが考えたオリジナルの生き物を加えてくれました。作った子どもたち一人ひとりのように、どれも個性豊かです。

Our Grade 7-9 students stepped out of the classroom and into the community on July 11th Saturday for a collaborative trash collection event! 🧹✨
A massive thank you to the Edogawa Multicultural Center and Seisou Jimusyo Edogawa (Edogawa Clean-up Office) for partnering with us to help keep our local neighborhood clean, green, and welcoming for everyone.
Witnessing our students take active leadership, collaborate with local organizations, and practice real-world citizenship was incredibly inspiring. Together, we are building a cleaner, more connected Edogawa!

Dribble, shoot, score, and smile! 🏀 We took learning outside the classroom for some incredible basketball activities. The kids had an absolute blast working on their teamwork and showing off their skills on the court!
