リンデンホールスクール小学部 英語を基礎とした個性教育で、世界に通じる真の国際人の育成をめざして?

国際化、情報化の中で生徒一人ひとりの個性をどのように伸ばすかは、教育の場において大変重要なテーマであり、これからの日本では、国際舞台で活躍できる「英語が自由に使える国際人」の育成が必要です。
　その目標に向かうため、平成16年4月に、福岡県太宰府市にリンデンホールスクール小学部を開校いたしました。広い視野で自己を見つめ、一人ひとりが持つ個性や能力を伸ばし、21世紀の世界に通用する創才教育をしたいと考えております。英語イマージョンプログラムの採用をはじめ、ITやプレゼンテーションの能力の養成、日本文化の体得などを通して、一人ひとりの個性や夢を尊重できる特色のあるカリキュラムです。
　優秀な外国人教師を登用したインターナショナルな教育環境の中にありながらも日本人としての特性を練磨するよう努め、子どもの個性やオートノミー（自律性）を確立する学校を目指します。

Every month, we hold “Table Manners Day.” For six years, students learn how to use a knife and fork properly. I often hear lovely stories from our graduates and their parents. Some parents told me that after their children graduated from Linden Hall, they wondered why they were so good at using a knife and fork. Then they realized—it was because of Table Manners Day!

【微笑ましいストーリー】
毎月、私たちは「テーブルマナーの日」を実施しています。
子どもたちは6年間、ナイフとフォークの正しい使い方を学びます。
卒業生や保護者の方々から、よく素敵なお話を聞くんです。

ある保護者の方は、子どもがリンデンホールを卒業した後、
「どうしてこんなにナイフとフォークを上手に使えるんだろう？」と不思議に思ったそうです。
そして気づいたのです——それは、このテーブルマナーの日のおかげだと！

Once a month, we celebrate “Lunch Box Day.”
The café team packs our lunches into cute lunch boxes, and the children can eat wherever they want at school.
It’s like having a little picnic together!

When you step onto the Linden Hall campus, you’re greeted by stunning, lush greenery.
There is a grass-ski area, Linden Farm where a variety of vegetables and fruits are grown, and a forest filled with tall trees and outdoor equipment.
All Linden students spend six precious years growing and learning in this beautiful environment.

Every day at Linden Hall, students compost leftover school lunch and use it to grow fresh vegetables on campus.
Those vegetables are harvested and turned right back into delicious school lunches—a full circle of learning and sustainability.

【A Place Where Friendships Grow Beyond Year Levels】
At our school dormitory, students from Grades 1 to 6 can stay overnight for one or two nights. This “short stay” program is extremely popular, and it’s great for the students because it allows them to form meaningful connections with peers from other year levels. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for them to strengthen their communication skills.

【学年を越えて仲間になる場所】

【Shakespeare Play】
Since the school was established, students have performed a Shakespeare play every year. It is a wonderful opportunity for them to learn and become familiar with the stories and cultural background behind each work. Through this school event, children are also able to develop rich expressive skills. According to the students, as they grow older, this experience helps them gain a deeper understanding of Shakespeare’s world. Our founder’s vision is "for children to be continually exposed to authentic experiences."

本校創立以来、リンデン生たちは毎年シェイクスピア劇を上演しています。 この取り組みは、作品に込められた物語や文化的背景を学び、親しむための素晴らしい機会となっています。また、子供たちはこの学校行事を通して、豊かな表現力を身に付けることが出来ます。卒業生によると、成長してからもこの経験がシェイクスピアの世界をより深く理解する助けになるそうです。シェイクスピア劇の上演には、「子供たちには、常に本物に触れさせたい。」という創立者の願いが込められています。

They enjoy doing homework with students from Oxford University, and they also have fun playing together.
We are truly fortunate to have maintained this special relationship for so many years, and to be able to learn about each other’s cultures through everyday interactions.

We communicate in various ways with Oxford University which is one of our partner schools of Japan University of Economics. This is an annual English language study tour for sixth graders, where they stay in Oxford University's dormitory and enjoy sightseeing with their university teachers.
