***Short Term Employment Opportunity***

Tired of remote work like me? Ready for an escape from the city to picturesque Nagano?

A-Ok Education is helping a Junior High School with a summer camp adventure in Nagano. They need 6 fluent English speakers ASAP. Any nationality is OK. Sadly, they were unable to run the camp last year due to Covid-19. This year’s trip has been approved. It is going to be safe and awesome! Here are the details:

Date: Friday July 16th -Monday July 19th (Fri & Mon are half days)
Objective: Students acquire real world experience communicating with fluent/native English speakers through daily activities.
Place: School Training Center in Nagano
Transportation: Paid
Accommodation: Provided at no cost
Meals: Provided at no cost.
Total Compensation: ￥30 000
Valid work visa required

Student Age: between 13-15

Job Description:

There will be official teachers from the school who will manage lesson and activity prep/teaching. You will be an assistant for this camp and assigned one group to look after. No lecture is required. This is NOT a teaching role. No Japanese skill required but students may ask questions, so a little Japanese would help. Need to interact with students and clarify word choices or expressions. Students will make an English presentation on Monday, so we must help them prepare for the presentation on the 3rd night. No follow up reports required.

Important Note:
Due to Covid-19, budgets are tight, and while compensation is far from ideal, I would like to stress that no teachers/teaching is required. This is very fun, light work. No reports necessary. Your presence at the camp will transform the lives of these students and lift their spirits in hard times. Further, those of you who attend the summer camp with me will be prioritized for future employment/teaching contracts at A-Ok Education in which compensation is significantly higher.
