Ten participants from the 12th cohort of the TOMODACHI Sumitomo Corporation Scholarship Program took part in the East Coast training program.
Participants studying across the United States gathered in New York to begin the program. During the training, they visited Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, where they learned about the company’s business and leadership, and presented reflections on their study abroad experiences as well as their future aspirations to company executives. In addition, visits to Ori, Ellis Island, and Columbia University, along with sessions on a variety of topics, provided valuable opportunities not only to deepen their understanding of U.S. history but also to further reflect on leadership from multiple perspectives.
