Move Up Morning gives every child the opportunity to meet their new teacher, explore their new classroom and begin building relationships before September. It’s one of the many ways we ensure every child feels confident, secure and ready for the year ahead.

And the journey continues with our Meet Your Teacher event on the first day of the school year—another opportunity for families to connect, ask questions, and start the new academic year with confidence

Every great journey begins with a first step.

At Phoenix House, children are encouraged to be curious, confident and kind from their very first day. With small class sizes, specialist teaching and a warm, caring environment, every child is known, valued and inspired to flourish.

We have a small number of seats available for our 2026/27 academic year, Admissions remain open throughout the summer months and we would love to welcome your family for one of our tours.

One of the best parts of every school year? Residentials!

From canoeing and camping to beach adventures, forest walks and evenings spent with friends, our pupils had so many opportunities to step outside their comfort zones and try something new.

These trips are about so much more than the activities themselves. They help children build confidence, independence and friendships that often last long after the trip is over.

Art beyond the classroom 🎨

Throughout this year, pupils across every Prep year group have enjoyed a wide range of inspiring art trips across Tokyo and beyond.

From hand-on creative workshops, to exploring nature and art galleries, our young artists had countless opportunities to observe, question, create and be inspired by the world around them.

Looking forward to many more art trips next academic year!

Prep 2’s first green season residential in Hakuba 🌿

From boat races on the lake to exploring ancient cedar trees, painting stones, outdoor adventures, and making memories surrounded by the beautiful nature of Nagano — our Prep 2 pupils embraced every moment of their first residential trip.

Over two nights away from home, they showed incredible resilience, curiosity, kindness, and independence, truly living our Phoenix House values every step of the way. We couldn’t be prouder of our young Phoenixes for throwing themselves into every experience with such enthusiasm and courage. 🐦‍🔥
