Research and study-abroad updates from the selected candidates.The SVAP program for Outbound Students is run by the School of Science-University of Tokyo.
The Study and Visit Abroad Program (SVAP) is a funded program aimed at encouraging undergraduate students at the Faculty of Science, the University of Tokyo, to either (I) undertake a research internship or (II) attend short term courses such as summer school courses at a university or research institute abroad. Satoshi chose Vienna for his research in Physics. Here are some of the photos he took in Stadtpark, Hofburg, Schoenbrunn, the University of Vienna and IQOQI Vienna, Museum of Art History, St. Stephen‘s Cathedral, Albertina Museum, The Opera and St. Anne‘s Church where he enjoyed an amazing classical concert.

"This is Evans Hall, where I study most of the time at UC Berkeley. This building does not have an exotic roof unlike other buildings, and people call it 'Cube' because it just looks that way. But I still like it. I also took a photo of the library where I studied the other day: the C. V. Starr East Asian Library"
