She has been living in Sugamo, Tokyo for three months as an intern, but sadly she will return to Canada at the end of May 😢Before going home, her fiancé in Canada surprised her with this wagashi experience because she loves Japanese sweets so much 🩷He must be such a kind and caring partner 🥰
Today we made 🍡 Mitarashi Dango, 🍓 Strawberry Daifuku, and Kashiwa Mochi while enjoying matcha lattes and lots of lovely conversation.
She also recommended a ramen shop on Sugamo Jizo-dori Street 🍜I’d love to visit it someday!

On Children’s Day 🎏, I had two lovely guests—a pastry chef from Germany 🇩🇪 and a model from the UK 🇬🇧.
We made 🍡 dango, 🍓 strawberry daifuku, and kashiwa mochi 🍃.
For nerikiri, we created a carp streamer 🎏 and a hanachozu 🌼.
The pastry chef had amazing skills and great sense, as expected ✨
The model was cheerful and very creative 🌟
We enjoyed chatting while making sweets, then whisked matcha and enjoyed them together 🍵
The oak leaf on the kashiwa mochi was a bit tricky to remove 🥲 but still delicious!
And matcha latte too 💚

On Greenery Day afternoon, a guest from Brisbane 🇦🇺joined my nerikiri class during a 6-week stay in Japan 🇯🇵
Traveling from Hokkaido to Kyushu, they love Japanese food and tea.
For nerikiri, we made fresh greenery 🍃, moss phlox 🌸, carp streamer 🎏, and flower chozu 🪻
We enjoyed the sweets with freshly prepared matcha 🍵, and later had a matcha latte too.
