間截稽古／Higiri-keiko
"ひぎりけいこ” と読む。空間の間、時間の間、心の隙間、この間を截る稽古、すなわち実際に当てに行く稽古、と解釈をしている。もちろんカタの上なので、いわゆる乱取りとは異なる。
その昔、これを体験したことがある。確実にあたる間合いで、遠慮の無い速さと強さで、使打共にシナイを振るのは、おっかない。そしてすこぶる快感だ。なる程この稽古を毎日続ければ、現代の剣豪にはなれると思わせてくれる。
残念ながらこの稽古は 誰にでも出来るわけではない。確実な技と 使打お互いの信頼が無ければ、この稽古は推奨しない。
もう一度あの稽古をしたい！

Hi-giri-keiko, which means Keiko to cut gaps in space, time, and mind. In other words, I interpret it as the Keiko of actually going to apply directly to the body. Of course, since it is on the kata, it is different from what is called Randori (free fighting).
I experienced this once upon a time. I was a little intimidated by using the Shinai fast and hard at a distance where it would definitely hit my body. But it was ecstasy!
It makes me think that if I continue this Higiri-keiko every day, I can become a modern swordsman (Kengo).
Unfortunately, this Keiko is not for everyone. First of all, it is necessary to have a reliable skill. And if there is no mutual trust between Shidachi and Uchidachi, I do not recommend this practice.
I want to do that Keiko again.
