Deanship of Student Affairs Concludes “Be a Partner in Preparing Our Students for the Job Market” Initiative
The Deanship of Student Affairs at Yarmouk University has concluded the “Be a Partner in Preparing Our Students for the Job Market” initiative, implemented by the Career Guidance and Alumni Follow-up Office throughout the Summer Semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
The initiative reflects the Deanship’s commitment to empowering students, developing their personal and professional competencies, enhancing their readiness for working life and the future, and strengthening partnerships with the University’s faculties in supporting students’ development and success.
The initiative concluded with a training workshop entitled “Soft Skills in the Work Environment,” delivered by Dr. Ra’idah Al-Ramadan from the Department of Translation at the Faculty of Arts. The workshop addressed a range of essential competencies that contribute to students’ and graduates’ success in today’s rapidly changing work environments.
On behalf of the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Al-Shraifeen, the workshop was opened by Mr. Wael Al-Tbaishat, Director of the Career Guidance and Alumni Follow-up Office. He emphasized that student empowerment extends beyond academic knowledge and requires an integrated set of personal and professional skills, including communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability, enabling students to transition confidently and effectively from university life to the professional world.
During the workshop, Dr. Al-Ramadan highlighted key soft skills required in the workplace, including critical thinking, digital communication, effective workplace interaction, problem-solving, and adaptability. She also introduced practical approaches to analyzing situations, questioning assumptions, making informed decisions, communicating clearly and professionally through digital platforms, building positive and productive professional relationships, and responding effectively and confidently to workplace challenges and changes.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Raafat Al-Rousan, Head of the Department of Translation at the Faculty of Arts, along with several faculty members from the Department, who actively participated in the discussions and practical activities.
The workshop marked the conclusion of a series of specialized training workshops and programs delivered as part of the initiative in collaboration with several faculties across the University. These activities aimed to develop students’ personal and professional skills, enhance their awareness of future workplace requirements, and connect their university experiences with the competencies needed for their professional journeys.
The initiative reflects the Deanship of Student Affairs’ commitment to building a more comprehensive student experience based on empowerment, development, engagement, and partnership, contributing to the preparation of university students who are better equipped to take initiative, adapt to change, communicate effectively, assume responsibility, and participate actively in their communities and professional lives.
عمادة شؤون الطلبة تختتم مبادرة «كن شريكاً في تأهيل طلبتنا لسوق العمل»
اختتمت عمادة شؤون الطلبة في جامعة اليرموك مبادرة «كن شريكاً في تأهيل طلبتنا لسوق العمل»، التي نفذها مكتب الإرشاد الوظيفي ومتابعة الخريجين خلال الفصل الدراسي الصيفي للعام الجامعي 2025/2026، في إطار جهود العمادة الرامية إلى تمكين الطلبة، وتنمية قدراتهم الشخصية والمهنية، وتعزيز جاهزيتهم للحياة العملية والمستقبلية، وتعزيز الشراكة مع كليات الجامعة في دعم مسيرة الطلبة وتطوير مهاراتهم.
وجاء اختتام المبادرة بتنفيذ ورشة تدريبية بعنوان «المهارات الناعمة في بيئة العمل»، قدمتها الدكتورة رائدة الرمضان من قسم الترجمة في كلية الآداب، وتناولت مجموعة من المهارات والكفايات التي تشكل ركيزة أساسية في نجاح الطلبة والخريجين في بيئات العمل المتغيرة.
وافتتح الورشة، مندوباً عن عميد شؤون الطلبة الأستاذ الدكتور أحمد الشريفين، مدير مكتب الإرشاد الوظيفي ومتابعة الخريجين السيد وائل الطبيشات، مؤكداً أن تمكين الطلبة لا يقتصر على اكتساب المعرفة الأكاديمية، وإنما يتطلب بناء منظومة متكاملة من المهارات الشخصية والمهنية، والقدرة على التواصل والتفكير وحل المشكلات والتكيف مع المتغيرات، بما يعزز قدرتهم على الانتقال بثقة وكفاءة من البيئة الجامعية إلى الحياة المهنية.
واستعرضت الدكتورة الرمضان خلال الورشة عدداً من المهارات الناعمة الأساسية في بيئة العمل، من أبرزها التفكير الناقد، والتواصل الرقمي، والتفاعل الفعّال في بيئة العمل، وحل المشكلات والقدرة على التكيف، إلى جانب مجموعة من التطبيقات العملية التي تناولت تحليل المواقف، وفحص الافتراضات، واتخاذ القرارات، والتواصل الواضح والمهني عبر المنصات الرقمية، وبناء علاقات مهنية إيجابية ومنتجة، والتعامل بفاعلية وثقة مع التحديات والتغيرات في بيئة العمل.
وحضر الورشة رئيس قسم الترجمة في كلية الآداب الدكتور رأفت الروسان، إلى جانب عدد من أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية في القسم، الذين شاركوا في النقاشات والتطبيقات المرتبطة بمحاور الورشة.
وتأتي هذه الورشة ختاماً لسلسلة من الورش والبرامج التدريبية المتخصصة التي تضمنتها المبادرة، والتي نُفذت بالتعاون مع عدد من كليات الجامعة، بهدف تطوير مهارات الطلبة الشخصية والمهنية، وتعزيز وعيهم بمتطلبات المستقبل، وربط خبراتهم الجامعية بالمهارات والكفايات التي يحتاجونها في مسيرتهم العملية.
وتجسد المبادرة توجه عمادة شؤون الطلبة نحو بناء تجربة طلابية أكثر شمولاً تقوم على التمكين والتطوير والمشاركة والشراكة، بما يسهم في إعداد طالب جامعي أكثر قدرة على المبادرة، والتكيف، والتواصل، وتحمل المسؤولية، والمشاركة الفاعلة في مجتمعه وحياته المهنية.
