نظّمت كلية الطب في جامعة اليرموك يوم الاحد 2026/4/19، وبالتعاون مع كليتي الصيدلة والتمريض، فعالية يوم التوعي بالمضادات الحيوية، وبالشراكة مع رابطة الطبيبات العربيات، المبادرة الوطنية تحت عنوان "حارس الأجيال" ((Generation Guardians ، تحدي ترينتي ( The Trinity Challenge) ، المركز الوطني لمكافحة الأوبئة والامراض السارية (JCDC) وبدعم من شركة فيلادلفيا.
وافتُتحت الفعالية بكلمة قدّمتها د. سهير قدسية (اللجنة المنظمة) ، حيث استعرضت أهداف الفعالية وأهميتها في رفع الوعي حول مخاطر مقاومة المضادات الحيوية وتعزيز الاستخدام الرشيد لها.
تضمّن البرنامج مجموعة من المحاضرات العلمية المتخصصة، حيث قدّمت د. بتول الدوس محاضرة حول عصر المضادات الحيوية وتحديات المقاومة البكتيرية، كما استعرض د. سميح أبو طربوش التأثير المتبادل لإساءة استخدام المضادات الحيوية بين البشر و الحيوانات ، فيما تناولت د. ولاء القضاة الفرق بين العدوى البكتيرية والفيروسية وأثر ذلك على الاستخدام الصحيح للمضادات الحيوية.
كما شارك في الفعالية عدد من الشركاء والخبراء، حيث حضرت د. ميسم عكروش، رئيسة رابطة الطبيبات العربيات ود. سلام المومني ممثلةً عن المركز الوطني لمكافحة الأوبئة و الامراض السارية الى جانب د. صهيب حداد من مبادرة "حارس الأجيال" حيث أكّدوا في مداخلاتهم أهمية تكامل الجهود على المستويين المحلي والعالمي لمواجهة مقاومة مضادات الحيوية.
واشتملت الفعالية على مجموعة من الأنشطة التفاعلية التي قدّمها طلبة الكلية، من بينها مسابقة تفاعلية و عرض تمثيلي جسّد
مخاطر الإفراط في استخدام المضادات الحيوية، بالإضافة إلى مقابلات ميدانية مع أفراد من المجتمع حول استخدام المضادات الحيوية دون وصفة طبية.
وقد لاقت الفعالية تفاعلاً مميزاً وإشادة من الحضور والشركاء، وتؤكد كلية الطب في جامعة اليرموك استمرارها في تنظيم مثل هذه الفعاليات التوعوية التي تسهم في تعزيز الثقافة الصحية، وتدعم الجهود المبذولة للحد من مقاومة المضادات الحيوية.
The Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University organized, on Sunday, April 19, 2026, in collaboration with the Faculties of Pharmacy and Nursing, Antibiotic Awareness Day, in partnership with the Pan Arab Women Physicians Association (PAWPA) , the national initiative “Generation Guardians”, The Trinity Challenge, Jordan Center for Disease Control (JCDC), and with support from Philadelphia Company.
The event opened with a speech delivered by Dr. Suhair Qudsieh (Organizing Committee), who highlighted the objectives of the awareness day and emphasized its importance in raising awareness about Antimicrobial Resistance and promoting the rational use of antibiotics.
The program featured a series of specialized scientific lectures. Dr. Batool Eldos delivered a lecture on the antibiotic era and the challenges of bacterial resistance. Dr. Sameeh Abutarbush discussed the two-way impact of antibiotic misuse between humans and animals, while Dr. Walaa Al-Qudah addressed the differences between bacterial and viral infections and their implications for appropriate antibiotic use.
The event also brought together several partners and experts, including Dr. Maisam Akroush, President of the Pan Arab Women Physicians Association; Dr. Salam Momani, representing the Jordan Center for Disease Control (JCDC); and Dr. Suhieb Haddad from the Generation Guardians initiative. They emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts at both local and global levels to address antimicrobial resistance.
In addition, the awareness day included a variety of interactive activities led by medical students, such as an educational competition, a theatrical performance illustrating the risks of antibiotic overuse, and field interviews with members of the community regarding the use of antibiotics without a prescription.
The event received strong engagement and positive feedback from attendees and partners. The Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University reaffirmed its commitment to organizing such awareness initiatives that enhance health literacy and support ongoing efforts to combat antimicrobial resistance.
