Is it /sh/ or /th/? 🐳🦷

English can be confusing when two letters combine to make a single sound. These combinations are called digraphs, and learning them is an important step in early reading.

This Iqleel First Grade skill is designed to help children master the digraphs ch, sh, th, and wh through engaging visual and audio practice.

Children learn by:
• matching letters to pictures
• listening for the correct sound
• choosing the correct digraph in real words

This kind of focused practice helps children build stronger reading confidence and phonics skills.

Parents of Grade 2 students:
It’s easy to read “7:00.”
It’s harder to know which 7:00 it is.

Many children can read the clock perfectly, yet still mix up A.M. and P.M.

These small mix-ups are normal. They just mean the concept needs practice — not memorization.

Sun ☀️ or a Son 👦? Flower 🌻 or Flour 🥣?

English is full of tricky words that sound the same but mean completely different things. These are called homophones.

For a child, knowing the difference between the Sea 🌊 and what they See 👁️ isn’t just about spelling, it’s about seeing the meaning.

At Iqleel, we make those tricky words stick through smart practice.
