اختُتمت يوم الخميس الموافق ٧/٥/٢٠٢٦ فعاليات البطولة المفتوحة الأولى للشطرنج لطلبة الصفوف العليا في المدارس العمرية – الفرع الدولي، بمشاركة ١٦ طالبًا وطالبة. وقد تُوِّج بالبطولة الطالب آدم البدوي من الصف التاسع – الفرع الأمريكي، بعد أداء مميز ومنافسة قوية.
واستقبلت مديرة المدرسة السيدة ميس فوده الطالب الفائز، حيث سلّمته كأس البطولة وشهادة تقدير، مهنئةً إياه على هذا الإنجاز المتميز.
كما كرّمت مديرة المدرسة الطالب محمد صالح من القسم البريطاني (BTEC)، تقديرًا لجهوده في تنظيم البطولة والمساهمة في إنجاحها، وسلمته درعًا تكريميًا بهذه المناسبة

The First Open Chess Championship for Upper Grade Students at Omareyah International Schools concluded on Thursday, 7/5/2026, with the participation of 16 male and female students. The championship was won by Adam Al-Badawi from Grade 9 of the American Section after an outstanding performance throughout the competition.
The school principal, Mais Foudeh, received the student and presented him with the championship trophy and a certificate of appreciation, congratulating him on his remarkable achievement.
The principal also honored Mohammad Saleh from the British Section (BTEC) in recognition of his efforts in organizing and successfully managing the championship, presenting him with a commemorative shield in appreciation of his valuable contribution.
