The Binational Fulbright Commission in Jordan was created by a bilateral agreement between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the United States of America in May 1993. Our office in Amman, referred to as the “Fulbright House” has been operating since 1994. Seeking to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and Jordan, this Commission is responsible for the sponsorship, funding and administration of prestigious awards offered annually on a merit-based, competitive basis to Jordanians and Americans. نفخر بتسليط الضوء على مشروع د. محمد الجيوسي ضمن Alumni Impact Grant، والذي يدعم تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية في المدارس الحكومية من خلال استراتيجيات تفاعلية قائمة على توظيف الألعاب في الغرفة الصفية.

من خلال ورشتين حضوريّتَين، قدّم المشروع تدريبًا لـ 50 معلّمًا ومعلّمة، إلى جانب منصة مفتوحة الموارد تضم أنشطة وأفكارًا جاهزة للاستخدام داخل الصف.

نعتز بهذا الجهد العملي الذي يزوّد المعلّمين بأدوات ميسّرة تنعكس على تجربة الطلبة في التعلّم.

We are proud to highlight Dr. Mohammad AlJayyousi’s Alumni Impact Grant project, which supported English language teaching in Jordanian public schools through practical gamified learning strategies.

Through two in-person workshops, the project trained 50 teachers and created an open-access resource platform with ready-to-use classroom activities and ideas.

We are pleased to recognize this practical effort, which equips teachers with accessible tools that can carry forward into students’ learning experiences.

نهنئ صبا أبو كركي بمناسبة اختيارها ضمن برنامج فولبرايت للطلبة الأجانب (FFSP).

ستتابع صبا دراسة ماجستير الصحة العامة في صحة الأم والطفل في University of South Florida، وهي قابلة قانونية حاصلة على درجة البكالوريوس في القبالة من جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الأردنية، كما تقود مبادرة My Health jo. للتوعية بالصحة الجنسية والإنجابية بين الشباب في الأردن.

نتمنى لصبا التوفيق في رحلتها الأكاديمية الجديدة، ونتطلع إلى أثر معرفتها وخبرتها عند عودتها إلى الأردن.

سعدنا في فولبرايت الأردن باستقبال الخريجة د. رنا دجاني، خريجة برنامج فولبرايت للطلبة الأجانب لعام 2000 وبرنامج فولبرايت للأساتذة الزائرين لعام 2012، في لقاء في مقرّ اللجنة.

كان اللقاء فرصة للتعرّف أكثر إلى إنجازاتها الملهمة في مجالات العلم والتعليم والعمل المجتمعي، وإلى مبادرتها We Love Reading إلى جانب الحديث عن خططها المستقبلية.

نعتز بهذه اللقاءات التي تحتفي بخريجي فولبرايت وإنجازاتهم وأثرهم في الأردن وخارجه.

We were pleased to welcome Fulbright alumna Dr. Rana Dajani, an alumna of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program (2000) and the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program (2012), to the Commission.

The meeting was an opportunity to learn more about her inspiring achievements in science, education, and community engagement, as well as her initiative We Love Reading, and to discuss her future plans.

We value these opportunities to celebrate Fulbright alumni and the impact they continue to make in Jordan and beyond.

We are pleased to highlight U.S. alumna Patty Cancino, who participated in the 2023 Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program in Jordan. Her Fulbright experience inspired her to bring new conversations about empathy, identity, and global learning into her classroom in Florida through a refugee narratives unit and a school-wide Global Citizen Ambassador Club.

Educational exchange continues to create impact long after the initial exchange ends.

نفخر بتسليط الضوء على الخريجة الأميركية باتي كانسينو، التي شاركت في برنامج Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad في الأردن عام 2023.

ألهمتها تجربتها في الأردن لإدخال مفاهيم التعاطف والهوية والتعلّم العالمي إلى صفها الدراسي في فلوريدا، من خلال وحدة عن سرديات اللجوء وتأسيس نادي Global Citizen Ambassador في مدرستها.

تعكس قصتها كيف يمكن للتبادل التعليمي أن يستمر أثره بعد انتهاء البرنامج.

نحتفي بأثر جديد يصنعه خريجو فلبرايت في الأردن من خلال Alumni Impact Grant.

قاد الدكتور أحمد الجعافرة من جامعة الطفيلة التقنية مشروعًا لتعزيز الثقافة المرتبطة بالذكاء الاصطناعي لدى الطلبة والمعلمين والكوادر الأكاديمية في جنوب الأردن.

وشمل المشروع تدريبًا عمليًا ثنائي اللغة، وموارد تعليمية مفتوحة، وهاكاثونًا مصغرًا، وشبكة من سفراء الطلبة لمواصلة نقل المعرفة.

We celebrate another example of the impact Fulbright alumni continue to create in Jordan through the Alumni Impact Grant.

Dr. Ahmad Al-Jaafreh of Tafila Technical University led a project to strengthen AI literacy among students, teachers, and academic staff in southern Jordan.

The project included practical bilingual training, open-access learning resources, a mini-hackathon, and a Student Ambassador network to continue knowledge sharing.

تعرّفوا إلى د. نوف محمود، خريجة فولبرايت ضمن برنامج فولبرايت للأساتذة الزائرين لعام 2021.
تواصل د. نوف تطوير خبرتها الأكاديمية والبحثية من خلال CiteWise، الأداة المبتكرة التي أسستها وطوّرتها لدعم الباحثين في التحقق من الادعاءات العلمية والمراجع وتعزيز جودة الكتابة الأكاديمية والبحثية.
كما سعدنا في فولبرايت الأردن بالتنسيق معها لعقد جلسة تعريفية حول الأداة، شارك فيها عدد من خريجي فولبرايت، إلى جانب أساتذة وباحثين من دول مختلفة، في لقاء جمع المهتمين بتطوير مهارات البحث والكتابة الأكاديمية والتعرّف على حلول مبتكرة لدعم جودة البحث العلمي.
وتعكس رحلتها كيف يمكن لتجربة فولبرايت أن تمتد إلى ما بعد المنحة، من خلال تحويل المعرفة والخبرة المكتسبة إلى مبادرات مبتكرة تسهم في دعم الباحثين وتطوير المجتمع الأكاديمي.

Meet Dr. Nouf Mahmoud, a Fulbright alumna from the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program (2021).
Dr. Nouf continues to expand her academic and research expertise through CiteWise, an innovative tool she founded and developed to help researchers verify scientific claims and references while strengthening the quality of academic and scholarly writing.
Recently Fulbright Jordan coordinated with her to organize an introductory session on the use of her tool, which brought together Fulbright alumni, as well as professors and researchers from 16 different countries.
This is just one example of how Fulbright exchanges continue beyond the grant by transforming knowledge and expertise into initiatives that support researchers, foster collaboration, and create lasting impact inside and outside the academic community.

As part of Fulbright Jordan’s Freedom250 series, we are proud to highlight U.S. Fulbright Scholar alumna Carol Frierson-Campbell, whose Spring 2024 program in Jordan showcases the impact of educational and cultural exchange.
At the National Music Conservatory, Carol taught undergraduate and graduate music courses, performed with the Conservatory Orchestra, studied the oud with Sakher Hattar, and introduced schoolchildren to the world of orchestral music through interactive demonstrations.
One of the defining moments of her program was serving as Principal French Horn with the National Music Conservatory Orchestra during the performance celebrating His Majesty King Abdullah II’s 25th Jubilee—an opportunity to contribute to one of Jordan’s most significant national celebrations.
Carol’s experience is just one example of how the Fulbright Program has built lasting academic, artistic, and cultural connections between the United States and Jordan.

On Saturday, August 1, Fulbright communities around the world joined the inaugural Fulbright Association Global Day of Service.
Marking the 80th Anniversary of the Fulbright Program, this initiative connected volunteers across 100+ service projects in 30+ countries and highlighted the value of international exchange through local action.
In Jordan, Fulbright Jordan participated through a service activity at Dibeen Forest in partnership with the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN). We thank Ms. Ekram Masatfah, our Project and Events Assistant, for her outstanding efforts in organizing this service activity, as well as our partners, our alumni, and the Fulbright Jordan team for making this initiative possible.

في يوم السبت 1 آب/أغسطس، شاركت مجتمعات فلبرايت حول العالم في النسخة الأولى من اليوم العالمي للخدمة التابع لجمعية فلبرايت.
وجاءت هذه المبادرة احتفالًا بمرور 80 عامًا على برنامج فلبرايت، حيث ربطت متطوعين عبر أكثر من 100 مشروع خدمي في أكثر من 30 دولة، وأبرزت أثر التبادل الدولي من خلال العمل المحلي.
وفي الأردن، شاركت فولبرايت الأردن في هذه المبادرة من خلال نشاط خدمي في غابة دبين بالشراكة مع الجمعية الملكية لحماية الطبيعة. ونتقدم بالشكر إلى السيدة إكرام المصاطفة، مساعدة المشاريع والفعاليات، على جهودها المميزة وتفانيها في تنظيم هذا النشاط الخدمي، وإلى شركائنا، وخريجي البرنامج، وفريق فولبرايت الأردن على مساهمتهم في إنجاح هذه المبادرة.
