Last week, we welcomed parents and guardians, including so many new faces, to our Parent Information Evening at the Grand Hyatt.

From curriculum and assessment to Sixth Form pathways and early reading, families explored every stage of the ICS academic journey. Sessions on digital wellbeing, parenting in a digital age, and a whole-school look at AI gave parents practical insight into how we’re preparing students for tomorrow’s world, not just today’s classroom.

At ICS, we believe being informed is being empowered. We don’t just teach children; we walk alongside families every step of the way.

It was a genuine pleasure to connect with so many of you, and a beautiful reminder of what makes our community special: real conversations, real connection, real partnership.

This is what education, done together, looks like.

Recently, we kicked off the new year with our Meet and Greet sessions, welcoming families into our classrooms to connect face to face with the teachers who will be such an important part of their children’s journey this year.

Because at ICS, we believe education is a partnership, and it starts with genuine relationships, not just information shared across a desk.

Parents didn’t just receive updates and reminders; they stepped into the spaces where their children learn, laugh and grow every day. They met the educators who will know their child’s strengths, celebrate their wins, and be there through the challenges too.

It’s these small moments, a smile in the hallway, a conversation with a teacher, a peek into the classroom, that build the kind of trust and community every family deserves.

This is what makes ICS feel like home.

New faces, new hallways, new routines, our newest students had a lot to take in this week. So our Secondary Counsellor, Aseel Qanaze, hosted a Meet & Greet built just for them, with the help of some of our Sixth Form students: a chance to ask questions, get their bearings, and meet the people who’ll be part of their daily journey at ICS.

With fun icebreaker activities woven throughout, students had the chance to laugh, connect, and start building the friendships that will carry them through the year. Because at ICS, we believe every new journey starts with a strong sense of belonging. 💚

Every result tells a story, and this year our Year 11 students wrote a great one.

Our GCSE results this year reflect real, measurable growth across the board. 59% of grades awarded were at 9 to 7, A* to A, up from 49% last year at ICS, and well above the UK national average of 22%. Our BTEC Level 2 students also achieved a 100% pass rate, a fantastic reflection of their hard work and dedication.

A special mention to our O Level and GCSE Arabic students, recognised this year as best in school, a wonderful achievement built on years of dedication both in and out of the classroom.

Real growth like this does not happen by chance. It happens through effort, support, and a genuine belief in every student’s potential.

Congratulations to our Year 11 students, and heartfelt thanks to the teachers, staff, and families who help our students thrive every step of the way.

Pride is watching every student’s ICS journey turn into progress worth celebrating — a 100% pass rate.

This year’s A Level results don’t just reflect outstanding grades; they show real, measurable growth.

Our A*-A rate climbed to 53%, up from 48% last year, while our A*-B rate rose to 73%, up from 67% last year, both well above the UK national average.

And that success was seen across subjects. Economics and History achieved 100% A-A*, our BTEC Level 3 students earned 67% Distinction or Distinction*, and our Arabic Department was recognised as the highest value-added department in the school.

Behind every number is a student who showed up, asked questions, worked hard and believed they could keep improving. Wherever their journey began, our goal remains the same: to help every student grow, achieve and thrive.

Congratulations to our students, and heartfelt thanks to the teachers, staff and families who support them every step of the way.

There are first days, and then there are last first days. Our Year 13s made their entrance to drumbeats, dabkeh, and a zaffe that said it all, this year is going to be special.

A heartfelt thank you to our ICS PSA for making it so memorable. Wishing our Class of 2027 the most incredible senior year!
