شهدت مدينة حيفا، يوم الأحد 10 أيار 2026، المسيرة السنوية التقليدية لسيّدة الكرمل، "طلعة العذراء"، حيث توافد الآلاف من المؤمنين في أجواء من الصلاة لمرافقة شخص السيدة العذراء المُكرم من كنيسة اللاتين في البلدة التحتى وحتى دير “ستيلا ماريس" الواقع على الطرف الشمالي الغربي لجبل الكرمل.

شارك سيادة المطران اياد الطوال، النائب البطريركي، في حاضرة الفاتيكان، مع صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير الحسن بن طلال المعظم لقاء قداسة البابا لاون الرابع عشر.وجاء اللقاء على هامش الندوة الثامنة بين دائرة الحوار بين الأديان والمعهد الملكي للدراسات الدينية، حيث كان موضوع اللقاءات حول التأكيد على أهمية الرأفة والتفاهم الإنساني في مواجهة تصاعد الانقسامات والأزمات العالمية.
Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan Bishop Iyad Twal has participated in the Vatican, alongside His Royal Highness Prince El-Hassan Ibn Talal, in a meeting with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 8th Colloquium, hosted jointly by the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue and the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies, where the discussions centered on emphasizing the importance of compassion and human understanding in the face of rising divisions and global crises.

صدور قرار مجلس التعليم العالي بتعيين الدكتور عدي عريضه رئيسًا للجامعة الأميركية في مادبا لمدة أربع سنوات، اعتبارًا من 11 أيار 2026.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Madaba (AUM) Engineer Azzam Shweihat has announced that the Higher Education Council approved the appointment of Professor Dr. Adi Issam Arida as president of the AUM for a four-year term effective May 11, 2026, based on the recommendation of the AUM Board of Trustees.

On this occasion, the AUM community expresses its sincere congratulations and appreciation to the AUM president wishing him continued success in his duties.

The Board of Trustees also affirmed its continued support for institutional development efforts designed to implement strategic plans that comply with the AUM’s mission, as well as for strengthening its role as a leading academic institution that contributes to serving the nation under the Hashemite leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II. The Board of Trustees also expressed appreciation for the support of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem for the AUM’s educational and humanitarian mission.

التقى سمو الأمير الحسن بن طلال قداسة البابا لاون الرابع عشر في الفاتيكان، على هامش الندوة الثامنة بين دائرة الحوار بين الأديان والمعهد الملكي للدراسات الدينية. وجسّدت المصافحة بينهما الرسالة المشتركة في تعزيز الحوار والتلاقي، وترسيخ قيم الرأفة والسلام والكرامة الإنسانية.

At the Vatican, His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan Ibn Talal met with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV in a meeting on May 11, 2026 that reflected His Royal Highness’s longstanding intellectual and humanitarian role in advancing interfaith dialogue and defending human dignity as a foundation for peace and stability.



The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 8th Colloquium, hosted jointly by the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue and the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies, the theme Human Empathy in Modern Times is especially pertinent.

تحت رعاية معالي الأستاذ الدكتور نذير عبيدات، رئيس الجامعة الأردنية، وبتنظيم من الجمعية الأردنية للعلوم التربوية، انعقد المؤتمر العلمي الثاني عشر "رؤى وأفكار لقضايا ساخنة في التعليم العربي: نحو تعليم عربي تنافسي"، وذلك في الجامعة الأردنية، ما بين 7 إلى 9 أيار 2026، بمشاركة أكثر من 80 دكتور وباحث في الحقل القيادي والتربوي.

وفي الجلسة الأولى التي ترأسها الأستاذ الدكتورة ناهد عميش، نائب رئيس الجامعة الأردنية لشؤون الكليات الانسانية، أعرب فيها معالي الأستاذ الدكتور أمجد برهم وزير التربية والتعليم العالي في فلسطين، عن أهمية تطور المنظومة التربوية ومواكبة العصر، رغم الصعوبات والتحديات التي نواجهها. كما قدمت بدورها معالي الأستاذ الدكتورة رويدة المعايطة، وزير التعليم العالي، ورئيس الجامعة الهاشمية الأسبق، بعض الاحصائيات الفارقة بين المنظومة التربوية العالمية والعربية، كما اشارت لأهمية ربط سياسة التعليم بالاقتصاد الوطني.

وفي الجلسة الثالثة عشر، والتي ترأسها الأب الدكتور نفاع، والتي تطرقت رؤى وافكار لقضايا في المناهج وطرق التدريس، حيث كان التركيز على أهمية توظيف التكنولوجيا في مستقبل التعليم، في ظل الثورة الصناعية الخامسة التي نشهدها اليوم.

وفي نهاية المؤتمر تم استعراض أهم نقاط الأوراق البحثية التي تم طرحها، والخروج بعدد من التوصيات.

Prince El-Hassan Ibn Talal has met His Holiness Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican City, on the sidelines of the 8th seminar between Jordan’s Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies and of the Holy See’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue. Their handshake embodied the shared message of promoting dialogue and understanding, and reinforcing the values of compassion, peace, and human dignity.

Sister Madeline Dababneh, superior general of the Rosary Sisters has participated in the Pope Leo meeting on Monday, May 11 with members of Jordan’s Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies and of the Holy See’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue. Sister Dababneh presented the Pope with a commemorative gift consisting of a wooden image of “The Last Supper” crafted in Jerusalem.

وقدّمت الأخت دبابنة لقداسته هدية تذكارية تمثّلت بصورة خشبية لـ«العشاء الأخير» مصنوعة في القدس، إلى جانب كتاب باللغة الإيطالية حول حياة مؤسِّسة الرهبنة القديسة ماري ألفونسين غطاس، في لفتةٍ حملت روح الأرض المقدسة ورسالة الرهبنة في الشهادة للإيمان والخدمة والمحبة.

يتقدم المركز الكاثوليكي للدراسات والإعلام، والمجلس الاستشاري بأحر التهاني والتبريكات إلى الأستاذ الدكتور عدي عصام عريضه، بمناسبة صدور قرار مجلس التعليم العالي بتعيينه رئيسا للجامعة الأميركية في مادبا لمدة أربع سنوات، اعتبارا من 11 أيار 2026.
