Thinking of sending your child to a US university this Fall?
Perhaps you should read this article...

Is it ethical to take in foreign students mid-crisis? Campus leaders and international educators must ask themselves if it is not hypocritical and even unethical to invite international students to campus...

For those families planning on sending your children to universities abroad this Fall, I strongly suggest you keep yourself informed by checking the following:

1. Before making flight plans, check the university’s website for the following:
A. Start date for classes
B. If classes are on campus or online
C. Are they starting with on campus
classes and then going online later?

2. Does the country ( and state or Provence) have specific directives of quarantine related to anyone entering from abroad?
Will your child have to self-quarantine in a hotel before s/he is allowed to enter the campus/ be free to move around within the city?

Some US unis are starting only some classes on campus with others online. Some unis are also going completely online after Thanksgiving so that can impact the return ticket date you choose!

This year due to COVID-19, travel to and from countries is very different as are the academic calendars of universities! Be sure to check!

Each country and each university will have their own regulations so be sure you check regularly because things can change radically from day to day.

This is a year of many changes so try to be ready for the unexpected!
