Within the European Union project (Advanced Teaching and training on Smart grid and Grid Integration of Renewable Energy Systems ( )) , a training course was held in the Electrical Energy Engineering Department of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University to introduce the smart grid laboratory equipment at Damascus University for teaching staff and postgraduate students ( and ) in Albaath University. The training course dealt with techniques of real-time simulation systems, Power-Hardware In-the-Loop (PHIL) devices, and a definition of smart grid laboratory equipment at University.

The Smart Grid Lab at German Jordanian University conducted on Thursday 06.05.2021 a training session that targets undergraduate students and junior engineers in different engineering majors.
The training topics which have been addressed were as follows:
1. Introduction to Smart Grid and ICT technology (Dr. Hani Muhsen)
2. Capabilities of GJU Microgrid testbench OP1400 (Dr. Hani Muhsen)
3. RT-LAB, real-time simulation (M.Sc. Asma Alkhraibat)
4. Power-Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHIL) (M.Sc. Asma Alkhraibat).

Participation in a Training Course on Smart Grid Technology and DU Microgrid TestBench.
As part of AT-SGIRES activities, we would like to invite postgraduate students (Msc and Ph.D.) to participate in a training course, which will be held on Wednesday, 28/04/2021, in the Electrical Power Engineering Department at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the University of Damascus. The training course will address smart grid technology, real-time simulation systems, Power-Hardware-In-the-Loop (PHIL) and the equipment of the smart grid laboratory at the Damascus University.
Note: Certificates of attendance will be awarded to the participants.

دعوة للمشاركة في دورة تدريبية حول تقنية الشبكة الذكية و تجهيزات مخبر الشبكة الذكية في جامعة دمشق.
ندعو طلاب الدراسات العليا (ماجستير و دكتوراه) للمشاركة في الدورة التدريبية التي ستقام يوم الأربعاء بتاريخ 28/04/2021 الساعة التاسعة صباحاً في قسم هندسة الطاقة الكهربائية في كلية الهندسة الميكانيكية والكهربائية في جامعة دمشق. ستتناول الدورة التدريبية تقنيات الشبكة الذكية وأنظمة المحاكاة في الزمن الحقيقي وأجهزة Power-Hardware In-the-Loop (PHIL) وتعريف بتجهيزات مخبر الشبكة الذكية في جامعة دمشق.
