أبرز ما قيل في فعاليات مهرجان الشرق الأوسط للأفلام القصيرة، والتي جاءت تحت رعاية وزير الثقافة مصطفى الرواشدة، وحضرها كل من رئيسة الجامعة الأستاذة الدكتورة سلام المحادين، ونخبة من الفنانين، والمخرجين، والمنتجين، والإعلاميين، إلى جانب أعضاء الهيئتين التدريسية والإدارية، وطلبة الجامعة.

وزير الثقافة الرواشدة خلال تتويج الأعمال الفائزة في مهرجان "الشرق الأوسط" للأفلام القصيرة: أهمية توظيف الفن والسينما في إبراز السردية الأردنية وقيمها

رعى وزير الثقافة مصطفى الرواشدة، فعاليات مهرجان الشرق الأوسط للأفلام القصيرة، بحضور رئيسة الجامعة الأستاذة الدكتورة سلام المحادين، ونخبة من الفنانين، والمخرجين، والمنتجين، والإعلاميين، إلى جانب أعضاء الهيئتين التدريسية والإدارية، وطلبة الجامعة.

وقال الرواشدة في كلمةٍ له إن الأفلام القصيرة أحد أكثر أشكال التعبير البصري قدرةً على الوصول إلى الجمهور والتأثير في وعيه، لما تمتلكه من كثافة سردية وقدرة على اختزال الأفكار والقضايا الإنسانية والوطنية بلغة فنية معاصرة، لافتًا إلى أهمية توظيف الفن والسينما في تعزيز السردية الأردنية وإبراز قصة الدولة الأردنية ومنجزاتها وهويتها الثقافية والوطنية، بما يسهم في نقل صورة الأردن وقيمه وتاريخه إلى الأجيال الجديدة وإلى العالم بلغة إبداعية مؤثرة وعابرة للحدود.

بدوره، أشار عميد كلية الإعلام الدكتور رامز أبو حصيرة، في كلمته الافتتاحية، إلى أن التحولات المتسارعة التي يشهدها قطاع الإعلام وصناعة المحتوى جعلت القيمة الحقيقية تكمن في امتلاك الرؤية والقدرة على صناعة المعنى، مشددًا على أن السرد البصري بات أحد أهم أدوات فهم العالم والتأثير فيه.

من جانبه، لفت الإعلامي الأستاذ الدكتور هاني البدري إلى إن أخطر ما تواجهه المجتمعات اليوم يتمثل في وفرة المحتوى الخالي من المعنى، مضيفًا أن السينما الواعية تمثل خط الدفاع الثقافي الأول في مواجهة الابتذال والسطحية.

وفي ختام المهرجان، أعلن عن نتائج المسابقة، حيث فاز فيلم "كيفك إنت" من جامعة اليرموك، للمخرجين جنى الهوارين وأنس الخلايلة، بجائزة أفضل فيلم، فيما ذهبت جائزة أفضل تصوير مناصفة إلى فيلم "في الجعبة حكايا صياد" من جامعة البترا للمخرجين عمر أبو عيد وحمزة البستنجي، وفيلم "ضجيج الصمت" من جامعة العلوم التطبيقية للمخرجين عبدالله باسم وملاذ معطي.

كما حصد فيلم "سؤال أخير" من جامعة الزرقاء، للمخرجين محمد التميمي وأيهم العم، جائزة أفضل مونتاج، فيما نالت الطالبة آلاء أبو كشك من جامعة الشرق الأوسط جائزة أفضل إخراج عن فيلم "الطلاق".

ويأتي المهرجان في إطار حرص جامعة الشرق الأوسط على ترسيخ دور السرد البصري بوصفه أداة ثقافية ومعرفية تسهم في بناء الوعي وصناعة التأثير.

Minister of Culture Al-Rawashdeh Highlights Vital Importance of Art and Cinema at the Middle East University Short Film Festival Awards.

The Minister of Culture, His Excellency Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh, sponsored the closing events and awards ceremony of the Middle East University Short Film Festival. The ceremony was attended by the president of the university, Professor Salam Al-Mahadin, alongside a distinguished cohort of artists, directors, producers, and media professionals, in addition to members of the academic and administrative staff and university students.

In an address delivered during the ceremony, which was hosted by prominent media professional Prof. Hani Al-Badri, Al-Rawashdeh emphasised that short films represent one of the most potent forms of visual expression, capable of reaching audiences and shaping consciousness. This potency, he noted, stems from their narrative density and unique capacity to epitomise complex ideas, humanitarian themes, and national issues using contemporary artistic language. Furthermore, the minister highlighted the vital importance of leveraging art and cinema to bolster the Jordanian narrative and showcase the nation's journey, achievements, and cultural identity. In this manner, the creative sector can effectively transmit Jordan's values and history to both the younger generations and the wider global community through an impactful, cross-border creative medium.

Echoing these sentiments, the Dean of the Faculty of Media, Dr Ramez Abu Hasira, noted in his opening address that the rapid transformations within the media and content creation sectors mean true value now lies in possessing a clear vision and the capacity to generate meaning. He strictly emphasised that visual storytelling has emerged as one of the most critical tools for understanding and influencing the modern world.

The culmination of the festival witnessed the official announcement of the competition results. The award for Best Film was claimed by the Yarmouk University production "Kifak Enta" (How Are You?), by directors Jana Al-Hawarin and Anas Al-Khalayleh. Meanwhile, the Best Cinematography award was awarded jointly to "In the Bag Are a Fisherman’s Tales" from Petra University (directed by Omar Abu Eid and Hamza Al-Bastanji) and "The Noise of Silence" from the Applied Science Private University (directed by Abdullah Bassem and Malath Moati).

In the other technical categories, the film "One Last Question" from Zarqa University, directed by Mohammad Al-Tamimi and Ayham Al-Amm, secured the Best Editing award. Concurrently, Middle East University student Alaa Abu Kishk won the Best Director award for her film, "The Divorce".

Ultimately, this festival reflects Middle East University's commitment to consolidating the role of visual storytelling as an essential cultural and intellectual instrument that actively contributes to raising awareness and generating social impact.

طلبة العلاج الطبيعي في "الشرق الأوسط" يشاركون في تجربة تشريحية بالجامعة الأردنية

نظّمت الكلية التقنية في جامعة الشرق الأوسط زيارة علمية لطلبة الدبلوم المتوسط، تخصص العلاج الطبيعي، إلى كلية الطب في الجامعة الأردنية.

جاءت الزيارة في إطار دعم مخرجات مساق "التشريح التخصصي"، حيث أتيحت للطلبة فرصة حضور محاضرة تشريحية متخصصة داخل مختبرات كلية الطب، والاطلاع بصورة مباشرة على الهياكل التشريحية والأنظمة العضلية والعصبية، بما أسهم في تعميق فهمهم للمفاهيم العلمية وتوسيع مداركهم التطبيقية.

كما أتاحت الزيارة للطلبة التعرف إلى بيئات طبية متقدمة والتفاعل مع الممارسات التعليمية الحديثة، في خطوة تعكس حرص الجامعة على رفد طلبتها بخبرات نوعية تعزز كفاءتهم المهنية وتواكب متطلبات القطاع الصحي.

Middle East University Physiotherapy Students Participate in an Anatomy Practical at the University of Jordan.

The Technical College at Middle East University organised an academic visit for advanced diploma students specialising in physiotherapy to the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Jordan.

Undertaken to reinforce the learning outcomes of the "Specialised Anatomy" module, the visit provided students with the opportunity to attend a specialised anatomy lecture within the Faculty of Medicine's laboratories.

This experience had a great significance because it allowed them to see anatomical structures, as well as the muscular and nervous systems, up close, which helped them understand scientific ideas better and gain more practical knowledge.

Furthermore, the visit enabled the students to familiarise themselves with advanced medical environments and engage in modern educational practices. Ultimately, this initiative reflects the university's commitment to equipping its students with high-quality, practical experiences that enhance their professional competency and align with the evolving demands of the healthcare sector.

حماية المال العام.. أبرز مضامين ندوة قدمها وكيل عام إدارة قضايا الدولة عطوفة خريس في "الشرق الأوسط"

استضافت كلية الحقوق في جامعة الشرق الأوسط ندوة متخصصة بعنوان: "القانون والتحكيم في إدارة القضايا"، قدمها الوكيل العام لإدارة قضايا الدولة عطوفة تامر خريس، ووكيلَي إدارة قضايا الدولة الدكتورة شريهان الحديد والأستاذ سعد مريان.

استعرض المشاركون الأدوار التي تضطلع بها دائرة إدارة قضايا الدولة في حماية المال العام وتمثيل مؤسسات الدولة أمام القضاء، إلى جانب تسليط الضوء على قانون إدارة قضايا الدولة، وقانون التنفيذ، وقانون التحكيم الأردني، وأهمية هذه التشريعات في صون الحقوق العامة وتعزيز كفاءة المنظومة القانونية.

وشهدت الندوة نقاشات تفاعلية مع الطلبة تناولت الجوانب التطبيقية لعمل الدائرة، بما أسهم في إثراء معارفهم القانونية وتعميق فهمهم لمتطلبات العمل القانوني المتخصص.

Safeguarding Public Funds: Key Insights from a Seminar Delivered by His Excellency Attorney General Khrais at Middle East University.

The Faculty of Law hosted a specialised seminar entitled "Law and Arbitration in Case Management". The seminar was delivered by the Attorney General for the State Lawsuits Management Department, His Excellency Tamer Khrais, alongside State Lawsuits Attorneys Dr. Sherihan Al-Hadid and Mr. Saad Maryan.

During the session, the speakers outlined the pivotal roles undertaken by the State Lawsuits Management Department in safeguarding public funds and representing state institutions before the judiciary. Furthermore, the presentation highlighted the State Lawsuits Management Law, the Ex*****on Law, and the Jordanian Arbitration Law, underscoring the vital importance of these legislations in preserving public rights and enhancing the efficiency of the legal system.

The seminar also featured interactive discussions with the students, which focused heavily on the practical dimensions of the department's operations. Consequently, this engagement served to enrich the students' legal knowledge and deepen their comprehension of the requirements of specialised legal practice.

The Middle East University community exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, during a gathering that epitomised the values of harmony, communication, and a unified family spirit.

This blessed occasion serves as an opportunity to strengthen compassion and connection whilst consolidating the values of giving and belonging that form an intrinsic part of the university's culture and its academic and societal mission.

In closing the gathering, the university community extended their highest congratulations to His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, praying that the Almighty grants Jordan's leadership and people continued prosperity, security, and stability.
