EPVE-AgJo Empowering Professionals and Vocational in Jordan's Horticulture

9th of May. We were very delighted yesterday to host a delegation from the Embassy of the Netherlands in Jordan Dr Melle Leenstra, Agricultural Counsellor in Jordan & Egypt, and Mrs Suha Al-Bitar, Policy Advisor on Agriculture in the embassy, and the presence of the representatives of JAEA and our partners and other stakeholders on the event of Nuffic projects in the JAEA station for research and training and the coordination of team Agro for Consultation and Training (ACT Co.).

The event took place in Jordan Valley at the JAEA station. the event was started with an introduction by the Vice President of the JAEA, Eng. Saed Al-Zaher and Nuffic's projects manager Eng. Alaa Hasan facilitated the event with a presentation of projects and led a tour inside the greenhouse. Through our partnership with Dutch partners from both Nuffic projects in the past two years, this event was held for purpose of sharing knowledge and highlighting the astonishing and newest activities and great results of both projects, moreover, showing the upgraded greenhouse was developed with different types of innovative hydroponics systems.

سعدنا باستضافة وفد من سفارة هولندا في الأردن ممثلين بالدكتور Dr Mella Leenstra ، المستشار الزراعي في الأردن ومصر، والمهندسة سهى البيطار، مستشار السياسات بشأن الزراعة في السفارة، وبحضور ممثلين عن JAEA وشركائنا للاطلاع على ما تم إنجازه من خلال مشاريع نوفيك Nuffic في محطة نقابة المهندسين الزراعيين للبحوث والتدريب والتي تنفذ من قبل فريق شركة زراعيون للاستشارات والتدريب (ACT ).

تم استضافة الوفد في محطة نقابة المهندسين الزراعيين في منطقة الكرامة في غور الأردن. حيث رحب بالوفد كل من نائب النقيب المهندس سائد الظاهر والمهندس علاء حسن مدير مشاريع نوفيك وفريق عمله في شركة زراعيون ، حيث قام المهندس علاء حسن وفريقه بتقديم عرض تقديمي لانجازات المشاريع و عمل جولة داخل البيوت الزراعية للحديث عن الأنظمة الحديثة التي تم استحداثها من خلال مشاريع نوفيك ضمن شراكتنا مع الشركاء الهولنديين من كلا المشروعين Nuffic في العامين الماضيين.

كما تم تبادل المعرفة والنقاش وتسليط الضوء على أبرز الإنجازات التي تم تحقيقها خلال العامين الماضيين من كلا المشروعين.

Say to our future Agricultural Engineers from Al-Farouq Schools!

On the 28th of March launched comprehensive combination workshop for a group of participants of more than 40 students of Agricultral education branch from Alfarouq School on 3 topics “Hydroponics technique, IPM , and Value Chain Management” , the training held in the JAEA station for research and training and facilitated by 3 trainers Eng. Alaa Abu Ali from team, Eng. Alaa Batayneh from team and Eng. Lana Abu Nowar from team.
Not only focusing on the theory content also trained on the technical side, moreover, highlighting the interested aspects for them for each part presented. We’re happy to see how they were interacted and enthusiasm to plan for their future as agricultural engineer.

عقدت يوم الثلاثاء الماضي الموافق بتاريخ 28 من شهر آذار/مارس فعالية ليوم علمي على المهارات الزراعية الأساسية والتي تركزت على المجالات الثلاث "الزراعة المائية والمكافحة الافات والتسويق الزراعي" وبحضور 48 طالبا من الفرع الزراعي من الطلبة و2 من المعلمين من مدرسة الفاروق الثانوية للبنين داخل محطة نقابة المهندسين الزراعيين للبحث والتدريب وكان تفاعلهم مميز أثناء التدريب وحماسهم لتعلم كل ما هو جديد. تم تقديم اليوم العلمي من قبل 3 مدربين م. علاء أبو علي من فريق الزراعة المائية ، و م. علاء بطاينة من فريق المكافحة المتكاملة ، وم. لانا أبو نوار من فريق التسويق الزراعي.
شملت اليوم العلمي على أهم المهارات الزراعية الاساسية وتطبيقاتها في المجالات الثلاث في شقيها النظري والعملي داخل البيت البلاستيكي المحدث بأنظمة متقدمة .

Hyodrponics techniques in Azraq Governate

On the 27th of March, A new workshop conducted on hydroponics techniques by Eng. Mahmoud Salah for a group of farmers from Azraq gathered to learn the skills of hydroponics practices and to adopt in their farms. The training was held inside a farm then follow to observe on the systems.
Hydroponics became the major practices in Agriculture it’s pleased for us the interested come by personal request.

شمل التدريب محاور عدة متعلقة بإدارة أنظمة الزراعة المائية وكيفية تصميمها وتكلفتها وفتح باب النقاش مع المزارعين على تبنيها وأهميتها لمستقبل القطاع.

Day 3 and the last with Entrepreneur women on Value Chain Management is finally completed ✅
On the 28th of March conducted the 3rd day a workshop for a group of entrepreneur women from the Food Industrials CBO from Al-Fuheis area in Al-Balqa'a Governate on Hydroponics techniques. The workshop is done by Eng. Bara'a Hwaidi from the VCM team.

All participants were pleased on the content especially to see how to improve their business.

Day 2 with Entrepreneur women on Hydroponics techniques is completed ✅
On the 27th of March conducted the 2nd day a workshop for a group of entrepreneur women from the Food Industrials CBO from Al-Fuheis area in Al-Balqa'a Governate on Hydroponics techniques. The workshop is done by Eng. Aseel Allouzi from the Hydroponics team's trainers.
Based on special request they gathered to learn more skills on Hydroponics , IPM and VCM to be an added value for them in the future.

Day 1 of the Complementary Skills in IPM Training Workshop is Done ✅

On the 26th of March launched the a workshop training for a group of entrepreneur women from the Food Industrials CBO from Al-Fuheis area in Al-Balqa'a Governate. The workshop is done by Eng. Sameer Abdel Jabbar from the IPM team's trainers.
What makes them special, these women are expertize in producing products and make the final packaging and gathered to learn more skills on Hydroponics , IPM and VCM to be added value for them.

More milestones to record! What a great achievements to get proud of 👩‍🏫

On Thursday 24th of March, a new activity recorded workshop on teaching of vocational education program for Female Vocational School “Zamaliah School for Girls” under Empowering Professionals and Vocational Education in Jordan’s Horticulture project (EPVE-AgJo), and was done by 2 International Trainers from the Dutch partner “ Organization” , with participation of 35 students , 6 teachers from the Agri-branch, with the honor to have Director of Education, Dr. Fatima Talafha, and Head of the Department of Vocational Education and Production, Dr. Abdul-Majeed Al-Bishtawi, and a team from the Department of Vocational Education.
The workshop mainly focused on action planning of empowering students to participate in a student challenge, how to linking up with the industry, to learn the needs of the labour market and Joint discussion on their ideas in group work. We delighted to see all the smiles through the training & amazed to see the outcomes from efforts done.

نظم يوم الخميس الماضي الموافق 24/3/2022 ورشة تدريبية بتعاون مع منظمة هولاندوور من قبل اثنين من الخبراء الهولنديين في التعليم المهني الزراعي لتدريب مجموعة من طلاب الفرع الزراعي من مدرسة الزمالية الثانوية الشاملة للبنات( 35 طالبًا) و 6 معلمات من الفرع الزراعي ، مع شرف حضور مديرة التربية والتعليم الدكتورة فاطمة طلافحة ورئيس قسم التعليم المهني والإنتاج الدكتور عبد المجيد البشتاوي ، وطاقم من إدارة التعليم المهني بوزارة التربية.

شمل التدريب عدة أنشطة ومحاور تتعلق بكيفية الدمج الطلبة مع البرامج التدريسية (ربط التعليم) مع القطاع الخاص، وتوجيه الطلبات لتعلم احتياجات سوق العمل بشكل أفضل و النقاش للبحث في الأنشطة التي يمكن عملها لتبني المزيد من التطورات في كل برنامج تعليمي.

Last week conducted 2 practical days on Aquaponics Farming in the JAEA station for research and training with international trainer Thijs Rutters he's Aquaponics Farming expertise trainer from HollandDoor Organization. This training joint with the 2 teams of hydroponics & Aquaponics master trainers from our project "EPVE-AgJo" and other project "ITC-AgJo", it mainly focused on calculations and how to implement systems with less cost.

Empowering Vocational Education and linking-up with Industry Training 👨‍🏫
As a teaching of vocational education program is part of our project’s activities , Empowering Professionals and Vocational Education in Jordan’s Horticulture project (EPVE-AgJo) Launched a workshop training yesterday on the 21th of March and done by 2 International Trainers from the Dutch partner “ Organization” , with participation of 40 students and teachers from Alfarouq Vocational School for Boys.

The workshop mainly focused on action planning of empowering students to participate in a student challenge, how to linking up with the industry, to learn the needs of the labour market and Joint discussion on their ideas in group work.

ضمن مشروع تمكين المهندسين الزراعيين والتعليم المهني الزراعي في الأردن الممول من برنامج نوفيك الهولندية، نفذت ورشة تدريبية بتعاون مع منظمة هولاندوور من قبل اثنين من الخبراء الهولنديين في التعليم المهني الزراعي لتدريب مجموعة من طلاب الفرع الزراعي من مدرسة الفاروق الثانوية المهنية للبنين بتاريخ 21 /03/2022 ، شمل التدريب عدة أنشطة ومحاور تتعلق بكيفية الدمج الطلبة مع البرامج التدريسية (ربط التعليم) مع القطاع الخاص، وتوجيه الطلاب لتعلم احتياجات سوق العمل بشكل أفضل و النقاش للبحث في الأنشطة التي يمكن عملها لتبني المزيد من التطورات في كل برنامج تعليمي.
