JGATE is pleased to announce the reopening of Al Hassan Workers' Center Industrial City — welcoming all workers to access a range of services, programs, and recreational activities designed to support their well-being and development. Stay tuned for upcoming programs!

JGATE successfully completed a series of industry sessions across Sahab, Dulayl, and Al-Hassan Industrial City, bringing together member factories for focused discussions on digitisation in the fashion manufacturing sector.

Organized in collaboration with CTeBS, the sessions highlighted global trends, practical tools, and real-life applications to enhance efficiency, transparency, and supply chain performance.

This initiative comes as part of JGATE’s ongoing efforts to support members, drive innovation, and strengthen the competitiveness of Jordan’s garment sector.

في إطار مشاركة الجمعية الأردنية لمصدري الألبسة والمنسوجات (JGATE) في حوارات العدالة، وهي سلسلة حوارات قطاعية تهدف إلى تعزيز مفهوم الانتقال العادل في الأردن ووضع العمال والنساء والمجتمعات المحلية في صميم هذا التحول، والمنظمة من قبل مؤسسة فريدريش إيبرت – المركز الإقليمي لعدالة الطاقة والمناخ، شارك السيد هاني المحارمة، نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة، في الجلسة النقاشية الخاصة بالقطاع الصناعي.

وخلال مداخلته، سلّط الضوء على الدور المحوري لقطاع الألبسة والمنسوجات في تحريك العجلة الاقتصادية، وما يحققه من أثر اقتصادي واجتماعي مباشر، لا سيما في توفير فرص العمل وتمكين النساء.

كما تناول التحديات التي يواجهها أصحاب العمل في مسار الانتقال العادل، مؤكدًا أهمية تبني سياسات متوازنة وعملية، وتعزيز الشراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص، وتوفير أدوات دعم واضحة تضمن استدامة الأعمال وحماية حقوق العاملين.



As part of JGATE’s participation in the Justice Dialogues—a series of sectoral dialogues focused on advancing the concept of a just transition in Jordan and placing workers, women, and local communities at the heart of this transformation, organized by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung through its Regional Energy and Climate Justice Center—Mr. Hani Maharmeh, Vice Chairman, participated in the industrial sector panel discussion.

During the session, Mr. Maharmeh highlighted the role of the garment and textile sector in driving economic growth in Jordan and its economic and social impact, particularly in job creation and women’s employment.

Mr. Hani also addressed the challenges faced by employers within the just transition process, emphasizing the need for balanced and practical policies, strong public–private cooperation, and targeted support mechanisms to ensure a fair and sustainable transition for both businesses and workers.
