In September 2022, BIMS received its Charter from the Government of Jamaica and is now officially registered as “The School of Medicine & Health Professionals”, to operate as a “Higher Education Institution” by The Jamaica Tertiary Education Commission (JTEC) of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information (MOEYI), Government of Jamaica.
