We extend heartfelt gratitude to the CHASE Fund for their generous donation of drums to establish our African Drumming Programme at Christel House Jamaica. 🪘✨

This initiative has helped to channel the energy and interest of our boys in a positive direction through the performing arts, build character, while nurturing a love of performance and percussion. 🎶

Our students explored the African tradition of drumming 🌍while proudly representing our school at the Jamaica Cultural Development (JCDC) competitions this past school year.

👏🏾🌟 Congratulations to Barrington T. for earning a Silver medal, as well as to Damani J. and Mathew M. for each securing a Bronze medal in the 2026 JCDC Parish Finals! 🎉

Gisele Porteous, Grade 11 student and granddaughter of Christel House Jamaica’s co-founder Sally Porteous, has always loved robotics.

This summer, she teamed up with her brother Izaia and friends Ava and Jack to coordinate a robotics camp for a group of our high school students as they geared up for Grade 8. 🌟🤖

From among the participants, Cottarael and Joanna shared their favorite moments which included building robots and coding them to navigate mazes, and other tasks, blending STEM and creativity. 🚀💡

Christel House Jamaica is getting ready to welcome our students for the new school year.

In addition to new student and high school orientation, onboarding week included uniform fittings and distribution, along with medical check-ups to ensure every child begins their journey healthy and prepared.

These activities are all a part of Christel House’s holistic model, which prioritizes student well-being and readiness for learning. 💙📚

🌞✨ Christel House Jamaica’s IRRI Summer Academy was filled with learning, laughter, and growth. Over two exciting weeks, students explored activities like drama, arts and crafts, music, Spanish, netball, football, quiz, marching band, and pickleball 🌟🎶⚽

📚 Junior school students also got a chance to strengthen their reading skills, while our high schoolers gained hands-on experience in cosmetology, mechanics, and other technical skills.

We recently celebrated our very first Scout and Cub Scout Investiture Ceremony at Christel House Jamaica 🎉🇯🇲.

Some of our boys and girls were officially welcomed into the Worldwide Scout Movement 🌍, receiving scarves, world badges, and district badges as symbols of their commitment to Scouting’s principles and promises 🙌🏾.

This ceremony marks the establishment of our Scout programme as part of the school’s co-curricular growth 📚, giving students opportunities to build leadership, resilience, practical life skills, and good citizenship 💪🏾✨.

Special thanks to ADC Michael Williams and ADC Keith Brown 🫡, who led the ceremony on behalf of the Scout Association of Jamaica Central St. Catherine District.

Congratulations to our Grade 7 Blue Mahoe students, winners of the first annual Regimental D.R.I.L.S. Competition at Christel House Jamaica! 🎉

This event brought together Grade 7 Blue Mahoe and Hibiscus classes, as students showcased months of Cadet-based training in pursuit of the coveted first place trophy.

Some of our young leaders were recognised for Most Disciplined, Distinguished Service, and Best Drill Ex*****on. Awards were also presented for Team Player, Exceptional Leadership and medals for the Top 20 overall performance. 🌟

Almost half of this batch are keen to continue on into the Cadet Force, and join the Independent Unit. 💪🏾🎖️
