Ensom City Primary, formerly known as Ensom City All-Age and later Ensom City Primary and Junior High was established as a learning institution in 1976. It is situated in the quiet community of Ensom City, which is on the out skirts of its major town, Spanish Town.This is the first school in Jamaica to publicly open its door as a shift school in September 1976. This institution which commenced wit
h a population of 20 teachers and 580 students currently has over 1400 students who are from wide cross section of communities surrounding the school. The academic staff now comprises of fifty-one (51) teachers who have over the years, progressed in their academic development to ensure that students are given the knowledge needed to excel academically. Today Ensom City Primary stands with towering strength as a primary school and is rated among the top 3 performing schools in the parish of St. It must persist soaring to the heights of excellence and guarantee that every student, regardless of his economic or social status, is provided with the prospect that will permit each individual to realize his potential and become well rounded and furnished with the essential life skills to function effectively a dynamic and global world.
